Abstract
Methods and systems are disclosed herein for a system configured to determine a position of a brain monitoring user device, and a brain state of a user. Based on the determined position and the determined brain state, the system provides access to a set of media guidance application operations corresponding to the determined brain state and to brain regions corresponding to the determined position of the brain monitoring user device.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 50 . (canceled)
51 . A method for calibrating a device, the method comprising:
determining, from a device, a first biometric measurement associated with a first position on a body; and calibrating the device based on the first position and the first biometric measurement to determine a second biometric measurement associated with a second position on the body from the device.
52 . The method of claim 51 , wherein the calibrating comprises generating for display instructions to reposition the device on the body to determine the second biometric measurement.
53 . The method of claim 51 , wherein determining the first biometric measurement comprises measuring the first biometric measurement using a sensor at the first position, wherein the sensor is wirelessly linked to the device.
54 . The method of claim 53 , wherein the sensor is a first sensor, the method further comprising:
activating a second sensor at the second position; measuring, using the second sensor, the second biometric measurement; and wherein the calibrating the device is further based on the second biometric measurement using the second sensor.
55 . The method of claim 51 , further comprising:
identifying a measurement type that indicates a detection quality of the second biometric measurement; determining the detection quality using a sensor associated with the measurement type; and determining whether detection of the second biometric measurement is obstructed at the second position based on the detection quality.
56 . The method of claim 55 , wherein the second biometric measurement is characterized by a plurality of signals, and wherein the calibrating further comprises:
in response to determining that the detection is obstructed, scaling an intensity of a signal of the plurality of signals to improve the detection quality of the second biometric measurement.
57 . The method of claim 56 , wherein the scaling the intensity of the signal comprises:
scaling an intensity of at least one of an alpha band constituent signal, a beta band constituent signal, a delta band constituent signal, a gamma band constituent signal, and a theta band constituent signal.
58 . The method of claim 51 , wherein the calibrating the device comprises activating at least one of a training mode and a set-up mode at the device.
59 . The method of claim 51 , wherein the first biometric measurement comprises one of a heart rate, a perspiration rate, a blood pressure reading, an electroencephalogram (EEG) signal, and an electromyogram (EMG) signal.
60 . The method of claim 51 , further comprising:
subsequent to the calibrating, determining, from the device, the second biometric measurement; and determining, based on the first biometric measurement and the second biometric measurement, a brain state of the user.
61 . A system for calibrating a device, the system comprising:
control circuitry configured to:
determine, from a device, a first biometric measurement associated with a first position on a body; and
calibrate the device based on the first position and the first biometric measurement to determine a second biometric measurement associated with a second position on the body from the device.
62 . The system of claim 61 , wherein the control circuitry, when calibrating the device, is configured to generate for display instructions to reposition the device on the body to determine the second biometric measurement.
63 . The system of claim 61 , wherein the control circuitry, when determining the first biometric measurement, is configured to measure the first biometric measurement using a sensor at the first position, wherein the sensor is wirelessly linked to the device.
64 . The system of claim 63 , wherein the sensor is a first sensor, and wherein the control circuitry is further configured to:
activate a second sensor at the second position; measure, using the second sensor, the second biometric measurement; and wherein the control circuitry is further configured to calibrate the device based on the second biometric measurement using the second sensor.
65 . The system of claim 61 , wherein the control circuitry is further configured to:
identify a measurement type that indicates a detection quality of the second biometric measurement; determine the detection quality using a sensor associated with the measurement type; and determine whether detection of the second biometric measurement is obstructed at the second position based on the detection quality.
66 . The system of claim 65 , wherein the second biometric measurement is characterized by a plurality of signals, and wherein the control circuitry, when calibrating the device, is further configured to:
in response to determining that the detection is obstructed, scale an intensity of at least one signal of the plurality of signals to improve the detection quality of the second biometric measurement.
67 . The system of claim 66 , wherein the scaling the intensity of the at least one signal comprises:
scaling an intensity of at least one of an alpha band constituent signal, a beta band constituent signal, a delta band constituent signal, a gamma band constituent signal, and a theta band constituent signal.
