Hairbrush comprising distanceable bristle segments

Abstract

Hairbrush bristles become filled with hair and accumulate residue. It is difficult, if not practically impossible, to clean the brush because of the close proximity of the bristles. An invention is claimed herein which enables the bristles to be moved apart such that there is sufficient clearance to easily clean them.

I claim: 
     
         1 . A hairbrush comprising a plurality of distanceable bristle segments, each said segment comprising a plurality of bristles substantially arranged in a single row, said segments being joined together by releasable means; whereby any said segment may be moved relative to any adjacent said segment; thereby providing access for cleaning said bristles. 
     
     
         2 . The hairbrush of  claim 1 , wherein at least one said bristle segment comprises a handle.
