Systems and methods for saas application presentation mode on multiple displays

Abstract

Systems and methods of using an embedded browser for displaying content from a network application in presentation mode on a secondary display are described. A method includes establishing, by a client application on a client device having a primary display and a secondary display, a session to a network application accessed via an embedded browser of the client application. The method further includes detecting, by the client application, selection of a the presentation mode while displaying a web page of the network application on a primary display of the client device. The method further includes displaying, by the embedded browser responsive to the presentation mode, content of the network application for the presentation mode on the secondary display of the client device while displaying the web page of the network application on the primary display.

We claim: 
     
         1 . A method of using an embedded browser for displaying content from a network application in presentation mode on a secondary display, the method comprising:
 establishing, by a client application on a client device having a primary display and a secondary display, a session to a network application accessed via an embedded browser of the client application;   detecting, by the client application, selection of a presentation mode while displaying a web page of the network application on a primary display of the client device; and   displaying, by the embedded browser responsive to the presentation mode, content of the network application for the presentation mode on the secondary display of the client device while displaying the web page of the network application on the primary display.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the secondary display comprises one of a second display device of the client device or a specified region of a first display device of the client device. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein detecting, by the client application, the selection of the presentation mode while displaying the web page of the network application on the primary display of the client device further comprises detecting, by the embedded browser of the client application, the selection of the presentation mode. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein detecting, by the client application, the selection of the presentation mode while displaying the web page of the network application on the primary display of the client device further comprises detecting the selection of the presentation mode via one of a mouse or keyboard selection. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein detecting, by the client application, the selection of the presentation mode while displaying the web page of the network application on the primary display of the client device further comprises detecting the selection of the presentation mode via selection of a link on the web page of the network application displayed by the embedded browser on the primary display. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein detecting, by the client application, the selection of the presentation mode while displaying the web page of the network application on the primary display of the client device further comprises detecting the selection of the presentation mode via selection of content on the web page of the network application displayed by the embedded browser on the primary display and moving the selected content to the secondary display. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein displaying, by the embedded browser responsive to the presentation mode, the content of the network application for the presentation mode on the secondary display of the client device while displaying the web page of the network application on the primary display further comprises generating, by the embedded browser, a web view for display on the secondary display. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 7 , further comprising moving, by the embedded browser, the content of the network application for the presentation mode to the web view on the secondary display. 
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein displaying, by the embedded browser responsive to the presentation mode, the content of the network application for the presentation mode on the secondary display of the client device while displaying the web page of the network application on the primary display further comprises displaying, by the embedded browser on the primary display, user interface elements of the embedded browser selectable for controlling presentation of the content of the network application displayed on the secondary display. 
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 9 , further comprising controlling, by the embedded browser, display of content of the network application on the secondary display responsive to the selection of the user interface elements of the embedded browser displayed in the primary display. 
     
     
         11 . A system of using an embedded browser for displaying content from a network application in presentation mode on a secondary display, the system comprising:
 a client application executable on one or more processors, coupled to memory of a client device having a primary display and a secondary display, the client application configured to establish a session to a network application accessed via an embedded browser of the client application and detect selection of a presentation mode while displaying a web page of the network application on a primary display of the client device; and   wherein the embedded browser within the client application is configured to display, responsive to the presentation mode, content of the network application for the presentation mode in the secondary display of the client device while displaying the web page of the network application on the primary display.   
     
     
         12 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein the secondary display comprises one of a second display device of the client device or a specified region of a first display device of the client device. 
     
     
         13 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein the embedded browser of the client application is further configured to detect the selection of the presentation mode. 
     
     
         14 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein the selection of the presentation mode is via one of a mouse or keyboard selection. 
     
     
         15 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein the selection of the presentation mode is via selection of a link on the web page of the network application displayed by the embedded browser on the primary display. 
     
     
         16 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein the selection of the presentation mode is via selection of content on the web page of the network application displayed by the embedded browser on the primary display and moving the selected content to the secondary display. 
     
     
         17 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein the embedded browser is further configured to generate a web view for display on the secondary display. 
     
     
         18 . The system of  claim 17 , wherein the embedded browser is further configured to move the content of the network application for the presentation mode to the web view on the secondary display. 
     
     
         19 . The system of  claim 11 , wherein the embedded browser is further configured to display on the primary display, user interface elements of the embedded browser selectable for controlling presentation of the content of the network application displayed on the secondary display. 
     
     
         20 . The system of  claim 19 , wherein the embedded browser is further configured to control display of content of the network application on the secondary display responsive to selection of user interface elements of the embedded browser displayed in the primary display.
