Abstract
A display control apparatus includes a reception unit configured to receive a virtual viewpoint in accordance with user operation, and a display controller configured to perform control such that a first virtual viewpoint image generated based on the virtual viewpoint and a second virtual viewpoint image having a virtual imaging range larger than a virtual imaging range of the first virtual viewpoint image are displayed on a display screen.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A display control apparatus comprising:
one or more hardware processors; and one or more memories which store instructions executable by the one or more hardware processors to cause the display control apparatus to perform at least: determining a position of a first virtual viewpoint used for generation of a first virtual viewpoint image; determining, based on the position of the first virtual viewpoint, a position of a second virtual viewpoint used for generation of a second virtual viewpoint image; and causing one or more display screens to display the first virtual viewpoint image and the second virtual viewpoint image.
2 . The display control apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein
the position of the second virtual viewpoint is determined such that an area included in the second virtual viewpoint image generated based on the position of the second virtual viewpoint and a view direction from the second virtual viewpoint is larger than an area included in the first virtual viewpoint image generated based on the position of the first virtual viewpoint and a view direction from the first virtual viewpoint.
3 . The display control apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein
the position of the second virtual viewpoint is determined to be same as the position of the first virtual viewpoint.
4 . The display control apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein
the instructions further causes the display control apparatus to perform determining an angle of view of the first virtual viewpoint, and an angle of view of the second virtual viewpoint is determined such that the angle of view of the second virtual viewpoint is larger than the angle of view of the first virtual viewpoint.
5 . The display control apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein
the instructions further causes the display control apparatus to perform determining a view direction from the first virtual viewpoint, and a view direction from the second virtual viewpoint is determined to be same as the view direction from the first virtual viewpoint.
6 . The display control apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein
the position of the second virtual viewpoint is determined to be at a rear position of the first virtual viewpoint in a view direction from the first virtual viewpoint.
7 . The display control apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein
the position of the first virtual viewpoint is determined based on a user operation.
8 . The display control apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein
a time of the displayed second virtual viewpoint image is later than a time of the displayed first viewpoint image.
9 . The display control apparatus according to claim 8 , wherein
the first virtual viewpoint image and the second virtual viewpoint image are generated on the basis of a plurality of captured images captured by a plurality of image capturing apparatuses, and the second virtual viewpoint image is generated based on a plurality of captured images captured by the plurality of image capturing apparatuses at a time which is after a plurality of captured images used when the first virtual viewpoint image is captured by the plurality of capturing apparatuses.
10 . The display control apparatus according to claim 8 , wherein
the time of the displayed second virtual viewpoint is determined based on a user operation.
11 . The display control apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein
the first virtual viewpoint image and the second virtual viewpoint image are generated based on a plurality of captured images captured by a plurality of image capturing apparatuses.
12 . The display control apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein
the first virtual viewpoint image and the second virtual viewpoint image are displayed on the same display screen.
13 . The display control apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein
the first virtual viewpoint image and the second virtual viewpoint image are displayed on different display screens.
14 . The display control apparatus according to claim 13 , wherein
the first virtual viewpoint image is displayed on a display screen for broadcasting, and the second virtual viewpoint image is displayed on a display screen for a user operation to determine the position of the first virtual viewpoint.
15 . A display control method comprising:
determining a position of a first virtual viewpoint used for generation of a first virtual viewpoint image; determining, based on the position of the first virtual viewpoint, a position of a second virtual viewpoint used for generation of a second virtual viewpoint image; and causing one or more display screens to display the first virtual viewpoint image and the second virtual viewpoint image.
16 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium which stores a program which causes a computer to execute a display control method comprising:
determining a position of a first virtual viewpoint used for generation of a first virtual viewpoint image; determining, based on the position of the first virtual viewpoint, a position of a second virtual viewpoint used for generation of a second virtual viewpoint image; and
causing one or more display screens to display the first virtual viewpoint image and the second virtual viewpoint image.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
