Kimono

Abstract

A martial arts kimono component of a kimono ( 800 ) having a jacket ( 810 ) and trouser ( 820 ) and for the wearing thereof of a user ( 801 ), wherein said kimono component is formed for compliance with one or more pre-determined articulations of the limbs of a user ( 801 ).

1 . A martial arts kimono component of a kimono having a jacket and trouser and for the wearing thereof of a user,
 wherein said kimono component is formed for compliance with one or more pre-determined articulations of the limbs of a user.   
     
     
         2 . The kimono component according to  claim 1 , wherein the cut and shape of the kimono provides for compliance with said one or more pre-determined articulations of the limbs of a user. 
     
     
         3 . The kimono component according to  claim 2 , wherein the cut and the shape of the kimono component is provided so as to increase conformity of the kimono component with a limb of a user during articulation of the limbs. 
     
     
         4 . The kimono component according to  claim 2 , wherein the cut and the shape of the kimono component is in at least two dimensions (2D). 
     
     
         5 . The A kimono component according to  claim 2 , wherein the cut and the shape of the kimono component is in three dimensions (3D). 
     
     
         6 . The kimono component according to  claim 2 , wherein the kimono component is a kimono jacket including sleeves. 
     
     
         7 . The kimono component according to  claim 2 , wherein the kimono component is a kimono trouser including leg portions, wherein each leg portion has an upper portion and a lower portion.

         11 . The kimono component according to  claim 6 , wherein the kimono jacket is cut and shaped such that central axis of the sleeve of the kimono jacket in the frontal plane extends in downward direction in the lateral outward direction. 
     
     
         12 . The kimono component according to  claim 6 , wherein the kimono jacket is cut and shaped such that the central axis of the sleeve of the kimono jacket further extends in a direction forward in the sagittal plane.

         15 . The kimono component according to  claim 7 , wherein the kimono trouser is cut and shaped such that the central axis of the leg portions of the kimono trouser is curved in one or more planes. 
     
     
         16 . The kimono component according to  claim 7 , wherein the kimono trouser is cut and shaped such that central axis of the upper leg portion of the leg portions of the kimono extend at least laterally outward in the frontal plane in the downward direction. 
     
     
         17 . The kimono component according to  claim 7 , wherein the kimono trouser is cut and shaped such that central axis of the lower leg portion of the leg portions of the kimono extend at least laterally inward in the frontal plane in the downward direction. 
     
     
         18 . The kimono component according to  claim 7 , wherein the kimono trouser is cut and shaped such that central axis of the upper leg portion of the leg portions of the kimono extend at least forwardly in the sagittal plane in the downward direction. 
     
     
         19 . The kimono component according to  claim 1 , wherein the kimono trouser is cut and shaped such that central axis of the lower leg portion of the leg portions of the kimono extend at least rearwardly in the sagittal plane in the downward direction. 
     
     
         20 . The kimono component according to  claim 1 , wherein the kimono component includes an articulation portion adjacent the articulation position of the limb of the user so as to allow for ease of articulation of the limb of the user. 
     
     
         21 . The kimono component according to  claim 20 , wherein the articulation portion is provided by a plurality of pleats or darts, and wherein the plurality of pleats or darts is formed from a fabric material.

The kimono component according to  claim 1 , wherein the kimono component is a kimono jacket and the kimono jacket includes an articulation portion adjacent the elbow of the user so as to allow for ease of articulation of the arm of the user in two or more dimensions and, wherein the articulation portion is provided by a plurality of pleats or darts, and wherein the plurality of pleats or darts is formed from a fabric material.

The kimono component according to  claim 1 , wherein the kimono component is a kimono trousers, and the kimono trousers includes an articulation portion adjacent the knee of the user so as to allow for ease of articulation of the leg of the user in two or more dimensions wherein the articulation portion is provided by a plurality of pleats or darts, and wherein the plurality of pleats or darts is formed from a fabric material.

         34 . The kimono component according to  claim 1 , wherein the kimono component is formed from a material selected from the group including one or more of cotton, canvas, polyester, Lycra®, spandex, ballistic nylon, nylon, elastic, elastane fiber, rubber, Teflon®. 
     
     
         35 . The kimono component according to  claim 1 , wherein said kimono contains one or more anti-grip reinforced panels which pop-off or release from the grip of an opponent grabbing the kimono, wherein the kimono comprises:
 a kimono jacket that is formed from a first material;   the kimono jacket including right sleeve and right body portions;   the kimono further including left sleeve and left body portions and a collar;   the collar extending upwardly from upper ends of each of the left and right sleeves;   the right body portion includes an inner flap and the left body portion includes an outer flap;   each body portion includes a lapel which is contiguous with the collar;   the lapels extending downwardly from the collar toward the bottom of the kimono jacket;   wherein the lapel and inner flap of the right body portion extends under the lapel of the left body portion toward a left side of the wearer of the kimono jacket and the lapel and the outer flap of the left body portion extends over the inner flap of the right body portion and extends toward a right side of the wearer of the kimono jacket;   and the lapels and body portions are configured to be kept in place by a martial arts belt;   one or more anti-grip reinforcement panels affixed to an inside surface of the interior of the kimono; and   wherein the one or more anti-grip reinforcement panels provides a sufficient popping-off tactile sensation or release of grip of an opponent grabbing the reinforced anti-grip martial arts kimono during the practice of martial arts.
