Systems and methods for providing enhanced sports watching media guidance
Abstract
Systems and methods for enhanced sports-related media content access and display are provided. An intelligent tuning module for multi-tuner systems may designate one sporting event as a primary sporting event and another sporting event as a secondary sporting event. A primary tuner may tune the primary event whenever possible and a secondary tuner may tune the secondary event whenever possible. Sporting events may be assigned user profile scores and tuned away from in reverse priority order. An interactive scoreboard may also be displayed with various game status and alert icons. The interactive scoreboard may allow a viewer to quickly tune between high-interest sporting events. Sports-specific features, such as wagering and fantasy league support, are also provided.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 .- 127 . (canceled)
128 . A method comprising:
generating a first source line-up comprising a first set of content sources of a plurality of content sources; generating a second source line-up comprising a second set of content sources of the plurality of content sources, wherein the second set of content sources is smaller than the first set of content sources; generating for display a first content flipping action element and a second content flipping action element via a user interface of a device; in response to selecting the first content flipping action element, automatically switching between presentation of content sources from the first set of content sources; and in response to selecting the second content flipping action element, automatically switching between presentation of content sources from the second set of content sources.
129 . The method of claim 128 , wherein each content source of the first set of content sources is associated with a topic keyword.
130 . The method of claim 129 , wherein the topic keyword is sports.
131 . The method of claim 128 , wherein each content source of the second set of content sources is associated with the topic keyword and identified as user's favorite.
132 . The method of claim 128 , wherein automatically switching between presentation of content sources from the first set of content sources is performed in a pre-defined sequential order.
133 . The method of claim 128 , wherein automatically switching between presentation of content sources from the first set of content sources is performed at a periodic interval.
134 . The method of claim 133 , wherein the periodic interval is a user-configurable amount of time.
135 . The method of claim 128 , wherein automatically switching between presentation of content sources from the first set of content sources is performed without receiving a user input.
136 . The method of claim 128 , further comprising:
receiving a user input selecting a particular type of sports; wherein the second source line-up is associated with the selected particular type of sports.
137 . The method of claim 128 , further comprising:
determining user preferred flipping preferences; wherein automatically switching between presentation of content sources from the first set of content sources is based on the determined user preferred flipping preferences.
138 . A system comprising:
control circuitry configured to:
generate a first source line-up comprising a first set of content sources of a plurality of content sources;
generate a second source line-up comprising a second set of content sources of the plurality of content sources, wherein the second set of content sources is smaller than the first set of content sources;
generate for display a first content flipping action element and a second content flipping action element via a user interface of a device;
in response to selecting the first content flipping action element, automatically switch between presentation of content sources from the first set of content sources; and
in response to selecting the second content flipping action element, automatically switch between presentation of content sources from the second set of content sources.
139 . The system of claim 138 , wherein each content source of the first set of content sources is associated with a topic keyword.
140 . The system of claim 139 , wherein the topic keyword is sports.
141 . The system of claim 138 , wherein each content source of the second set of content sources is associated with the topic keyword and identified as user's favorite.
142 . The system of claim 138 , wherein automatically switching between presentation of content sources from the first set of content sources is performed in a pre-defined sequential order.
143 . The system of claim 138 , wherein automatically switching between presentation of content sources from the first set of content sources is performed at a periodic interval.
144 . The system of claim 143 , wherein the periodic interval is a user-configurable amount of time.
145 . The system of claim 138 , wherein automatically switching between presentation of content sources from the first set of content sources is performed without receiving a user input.
146 . The system of claim 138 , wherein the control circuitry is further configured to:
receive a user input selecting a particular type of sports; wherein the second source line-up is associated with the selected particular type of sports.
147 . The system of claim 138 , wherein the control circuitry is further configured to:
determine user preferred flipping preferences; wherein automatically switching between presentation of content sources from the first set of content sources is based on the determined user preferred flipping preferences.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
