Abstract

There is provided a plastic material comprising at least one cannabinoid embedded within a structural polymer, wherein the plastic material is formulated to exude the at least one cannabinoid through an outer surface of the plastic material at a therapeutically effective rate for a period of at least a week or at least a month. The plastic material may comprise a liquid-absorbent material embedded within the structural polymer and a carrier oil absorbed into the liquid-absorbent material, wherein at least one cannabinoid is dissolved in the carrier oil.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
. A plastic material comprising at least one cannabinoid embedded within a structural polymer, wherein the plastic material is formulated to exude the at least one cannabinoid through an outer surface of the plastic material at a therapeutically effective rate for a period of at least two weeks.

. The plastic material according to claim 1 , wherein the plastic material is formulated to exude the at least one cannabinoid at a therapeutically effective rate for a period of at least a month.

- 4 . (canceled)

. The plastic material according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one cannabinoid comprises one or a combination of two or more from the group consisting of: a cannabidiol (CBD), a cannabidiolic acid (CBDA); a cannabigerol (CBG), a tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA), a cannabichromene (CBC), and a cannabidivarin (CBDV).

. The plastic material according claim 1 , wherein structural polymer comprises one or a combination of two or more of: a polyolefin, a polyvinyl chloride, a thermoplastic polyurethane, a silicone rubber, and a synthetic rubber.

. The plastic material according to claim 6 , wherein the structural polymer comprises a LDPE and/or a LLDPE.

- 12 . (canceled)

. The plastic material according to claim 1 , wherein the plastic material is an adhesive material.

. The plastic material according to claim 1 , wherein the plastic material is a non-adhesive material.

. A plastic wearable apparatus comprising the plastic material according to claim 1 , wherein the plastic material is molded into a shape suitable for being worn by a subject.

. The plastic wearable device according to claim 15 , wherein the shape is selected from the group consisting of: a patch, a bracelet, a wristband, a watch strap, an anklet, a necklace, a collar, an armband, and a shoe insert.

. A plastic material comprising at least one cannabinoid embedded within a structural polymer, wherein the plastic material is formulated to exude the at least one cannabinoid through an outer surface of the plastic material at a therapeutically effective rate for a period of at least a week, wherein the plastic material comprises:
a liquid-absorbent material embedded within the structural polymer; and a carrier oil absorbed into the liquid-absorbent material, wherein the at least one cannabinoid is dissolved in the carrier oil.

. The plastic material according to claim 17 , wherein the carrier oil is suitable for topical administration on skin of a human subject.

. The plastic material according to claim 17 , wherein the liquid-absorbent material comprises one or a combination of two or more selected from the group consisting of: a porous polymer; a silica gel, a fumed silica, a carbon black and an activated charcoal.

. The plastic material according to claim 17 , wherein the liquid-absorbent material is embedded within the structural polymer in a granular form.

. The plastic material according to claim 17 , wherein the at least one cannabinoid comprises one or a combination of two or more from the group consisting of: a cannabidiol (CBD), a cannabidiolic acid (CBDA); a cannabigerol (CBG), a tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA), a cannabichromene (CBC), and a cannabidivarin (CBDV).

. The plastic material according claim 17 , wherein structural polymer comprises one or a combination of two or more of: a polyolefin, a polyvinyl chloride, a thermoplastic polyurethane, a silicone rubber, and a synthetic rubber.

. The plastic material according to claim 22 , wherein the structural polymer comprises a LDPE and/or a LLDPE.

. The plastic material according to claim 17 , wherein the plastic material is an adhesive material.

. The plastic material according to claim 17 , wherein the plastic material is a non-adhesive material.

. A plastic wearable apparatus comprising the plastic material according to claim 17 , wherein the plastic material is molded into a shape suitable for being worn by a subject.
