Journey Verification for Ridesharing Via Audible Signals
Abstract
A system has a communication system that is in communication with a computing system. The computing system runs computer-executable instructions that may examine a profile of a passenger. Furthermore, the system may determine based upon the profile that support is to be provided audibly to the passenger whenever support is provided to the passenger. The system may also detect divergences from a predetermined path or route, which is determined may be determined by comparing a position signal output against the predetermined path. In response to detecting divergences, the system may further output an audible support message having content based on the detected divergences. Moreover, the system may be configured to contact authorities and stop the autonomous vehicle.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A mobile computing device comprising:
one or more processors; and a computer-readable medium comprising instructions stored therein, which when executed by the processors, cause the processors to perform operations comprising:
comparing a location of the mobile computing device with a predetermined route of a vehicle;
determining a divergence from the predetermined route based on the location of the mobile computing device; and
if the divergence is determined, transmitting a signal to the mobile computing device, wherein the signal is configured to cause the mobile computing device to provide audible support to a user associated with the mobile computing device.
2 . The mobile computing device of claim 1 , wherein the processors are further configured to perform operations comprising:
determining a cause of the divergence; and if the cause of the divergence is a malicious attack, generating a distress signal.
3 . The mobile computing device of claim 2 , wherein the distress signal includes the location of the mobile computing device.
4 . The mobile computing device of claim 2 , wherein the processors are further configured to perform operations comprising:
receiving location information of one or more nearby vehicles, wherein the determining the cause of the divergence is based on the location information of the one or more nearby vehicles.
5 . The mobile computing device of claim 1 , wherein the processors are further configured to perform operations comprising:
receiving a message indicating a cause of the divergence, wherein the cause of the divergence is a malicious attack; and generating a distress signal.
6 . The mobile computing device of claim 1 , wherein the processors are further configured to perform operations comprising:
receiving a request from the user to make one or more changes to the predetermined route; and transmitting the request to a navigation system of the vehicle.
7 . The mobile computing device of claim 1 , wherein the processors are further configured to perform operations comprising:
querying a user profile, the user profile indicating the audible support for the user associated with the mobile computing device.
8 . A method comprising:
comparing a location of a mobile computing device with a predetermined route of a vehicle; determining a divergence from the predetermined route based on the location of the mobile computing device; and if the divergence is determined, transmitting a signal to the mobile computing device, wherein the signal is configured cause the mobile computing device to provide audible support to a user associated with the mobile computing device.
9 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
determining a cause of the divergence; and if the cause of the divergence is a malicious attack, generating a distress signal.
10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the distress signal includes the location of the mobile computing device.
11 . The method of claim of 9 , further comprising:
receiving location information of one or more nearby vehicles, wherein the determining the cause of the divergence is based on the location information of the one or more nearby vehicles.
12 . The method of claim of 8 , further comprising:
receiving a message indicating a cause of the divergence, wherein the cause of the divergence is a malicious attack; and generating a distress signal.
13 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
receiving a request from the user to make one or more changes to the predetermined route; and transmitting the request to a navigation system of the vehicle.
14 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
querying a user profile, the user profile indicating the audible support for the user associated with the mobile computing device.
15 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising instructions stored therein, which when executed by one or more processors, cause the processors to perform operations comprising:
comparing a location of a mobile computing device with a predetermined route of a vehicle; determining a divergence from the predetermined route based on the location of the mobile computing device; and if the divergence is determined, transmitting a signal to the mobile computing device, wherein the signal is configured cause the mobile computing device to provide audible support to a user associated with the mobile computing device.
16 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the processors are further configured to perform operations comprising:
determining a cause of the divergence; and if the cause of the divergence is a malicious attack, generating a distress signal.
17 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the distress signal includes the location of the mobile computing device.
18 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the processors are further configured to perform operations comprising:
receiving location information of one or more nearby vehicles, wherein the determining the cause of the divergence is based on the location information of the one or more nearby vehicles.
19 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the processors are further configured to perform operations comprising:
receiving a message indicating a cause of the divergence, wherein the cause of the divergence is a malicious attack; and generating a distress signal.
20 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the processors are further configured to perform operations comprising:
receiving a request from the user to make one or more changes to the predetermined route; and transmitting the request to a navigation system of the vehicle.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
