Systems and methods for mobile authorizations

Abstract

A mobile device may receive security credentials from a contactless device via a contactless communication channel to authorize functions that may be performed by the mobile device. For example, purchase transactions may be authorized to be completed by a mobile device after payment information communicated from a physical payment card to the mobile device is confirmed to match at least a portion of payment information stored within a memory of the mobile device. A mobile device may forward the security credentials to a network entity for remote authorization of a requested function.

         21 . A mobile device, comprising:
 a contactless communication device operable to receive first security credentials from a first physical payment card and second security credentials from a second physical payment card;   a memory operable to store first payment information associated with the first payment card and second payment information associated with the second payment card; and   a processor operable to, for each of a plurality of first transactions with a payment terminal, communicate the first payment information to the payment terminal only after the first security credentials are received from the first physical payment card.

The mobile device of  claim 21 , wherein the processor is operable to, for each of a plurality of second transactions with the payment terminal, communicate the second payment information to the payment terminal only after the second security credentials are received from the second physical payment card.
