Abstract

Method for determining a parameter of an optical equipment, the method comprising:an optical equipment positioning step, during which an optical equipment comprising a pair of optical lenses mounted on a spectacle frame is positioned in a first position,a portable electronic device positioning step, during which a portable electronic device comprising an image acquisition module is positioned in a second position determined and/or known relatively to the first position so as to acquire an image of a distant element seen through at least part of the optical lenses of the optical equipment in the first position,a parameter determining step, during which at least one optical parameter of the optical equipment is determined based on the image of a distant element seen through at least part of the optical lenses of the optical equipment in the first position.

1 . A method for determining a parameter of an optical equipment, the method comprising:
 instructing positioning of a portable electronic device including image acquisition circuitry at a first position to acquire an image of a distant element seen through at least part of the optical lenses of the optical equipment in a second position; and   instructing positioning of optical equipment including a pair of optical lenses mounted on a spectacle frame at the second position;   determining at least one optical parameter of the optical equipment based on the image of a distant element seen through at least part of the optical lenses of the optical equipment in the second position.   
     
     
         2 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising:
 positioning a pattern in a third position relative to the optical equipment to allow the portable electronic device in the first position to acquire an image of the pattern seen through at least part of the optical lenses of the optical equipment in the second position.   
     
     
         3 . The method according to  claim 2 , wherein the third position is determined and/or known relatively to the first and/or second position. 
     
     
         4 . The method according to  claim 2 , wherein the optical parameter is determined by comparing a pre-acquired image of the pattern with the image of the pattern seen through at least part of the optical lenses of the optical equipment in the second position. 
     
     
         5 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising determining the relative distance between the image acquisition circuitry of the portable electronic device and the optical equipment using at least a measurement circuit of the portable electronic device or using a known size element positioned at the first and/or third position. 
     
     
         6 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the optical parameter of the optical equipment includes parameters selected from: an optical power in a visual reference zone of the optical lenses, an optical cylinder in a visual reference zone of the optical lenses, an optical cylinder axis in a visual reference zone of the optical lenses, a prism in a visual reference zone of the optical lenses, and a type of optical design of the optical lenses. 
     
     
         7 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising: determining at least one fitting parameter of the optical lenses in the spectacle frame based on an image of the spectacle frame acquired by the portable electronic device and the image of a distant element seen through at least part of the optical lenses of the optical equipment in the first position, wherein the fitting parameter is determined based on the position of a reference point of the optical lenses relative to the spectacle frame. 
     
     
         8 . A device for determining a parameter of an optical equipment, comprising:
 processing circuitry configured to:
 instruct positioning of a portable electronic device including image acquisition circuitry at a first position to acquire an image of a distant element seen through at least part of the optical lenses of the optical equipment in a second position, 
 instruct positioning of optical equipment including a pair of optical lenses mounted on a spectacle frame at the second position, and 
 determine at least one optical parameter of the optical equipment based on the image of a distant element seen through at least part of the optical lenses of the optical equipment in the second position. 
   
     
     
         9 . The device according to  claim 8 , where in the processing circuitry is further configured to
 instruct positioning of a pattern in a third position relative to the optical equipment to allow the portable electronic device in the first position to acquire an image of the pattern seen through at least part of the optical lenses of the optical equipment in the second position.   
     
     
         10 . The device according to  claim 9 , wherein the third position is determined and/or known relatively to the first and/or second position. 
     
     
         11 . The device according to  claim 9 , wherein the optical parameter is determined by comparing a pre-acquired image of the pattern with the image of the pattern seen through at least part of the optical lenses of the optical equipment in the second position. 
     
     
         12 . The device according to  claim 8 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to determine the relative distance between the image acquisition circuitry of the portable electronic device and the optical equipment using at least a measurement circuit of the portable electronic device or using a known size element positioned at the first and/or third position.

The device according to  claim 8 , wherein the optical parameter of the optical equipment includes parameters selected from: an optical power in a visual reference zone of the optical lenses, an optical cylinder in a visual reference zone of the optical lenses, an optical cylinder axis in a visual reference zone of the optical lenses, a prism in a visual reference zone of the optical lenses, and a type of optical design of the optical lenses. 
     
     
         14 . The device according to  claim 8 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to determine at least one fitting parameter of the optical lenses in the spectacle frame based on an image of the spectacle frame acquired by the portable electronic device and the image of a distant element seen through at least part of the optical lenses of the optical equipment in the second position, wherein the fitting parameter is determined based on the position of a reference point of the optical lenses relative to the spectacle frame. 
     
     
         15 . A method for ordering a new optical equipment for a user of first optical equipment, the method comprising:
 instructing positioning of a portable electronic device including an image acquisition circuitry in a first position to acquire an image of a distant element seen through at least part of the optical lenses of the first optical equipment in a second position;   instructing positioning of the first optical equipment including a first pair of optical lenses mounted on a first spectacle frame in the second position;   acquiring at least one image of the distant element seen through at least part of the optical lenses of the first optical equipment;   adjusting the relative position of the portable electronic device and the first optical equipment based on an identification of at least part of the first optical equipment and/or the portable electronic device; and   sending an order request for a new optical equipment to a distant entity, the order request including the at least one image acquired by the portable electronic device and new optical equipment identification data.   
     
     
         16 . The method according to  claim 15 , further comprising determining at least one optical parameter of the optical equipment based on the image of a distant element seen through at least part of the optical lenses of the optical equipment in the second position. 
     
     
         17 . The method according to  claim 15 , further comprising providing a device to position the first optical equipment and a portable electronic device. 
     
     
         18 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein, prior to the determining, the first position is determined relative to the second position using a measurement. 
     
     
         19 . A method for providing optical equipment for a person, the method comprising: receiving an order request generated by a method according to  claim 15  comprising
 at least an image of a predetermined element seen through at least part of the optical lenses of the first optical equipment of the person; 
 determining at least one optical parameter of the optical equipment based on the at least one image; and 
 providing a new optical equipment to the person based on the at least one optical parameter determined during the parameter determining.
