Abstract

A wireless device receives an uplink grant triggered in response to receiving a trigger during a validation duration. A determination is made that the wireless device is not in an Active Time, during at least a portion of the validation duration, by a process controlling monitoring of a control channel for: a pre-defined radio network temporary identifier (RNTI); and at least one RNTI. During the at least a portion of the validation duration: the control channel addressed to the pre-defined RNTI is monitored for the trigger; and the control channel addressed to the at least one RNTI is not monitored.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A base station comprising:
 one or more processors; memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the base station to: transmit a first downlink control information (DCI) comprising:
 a first trigger field indicating that an uplink grant of the first DCI is triggered in response to a second DCI indicating a second trigger; and
 a field indicating a validation duration for transmitting the second DCI via a cell;
   wherein a discontinuous reception (DRX) process of the wireless device determines that the wireless device is not in an Active Time during at least a portion of the validation duration, the DRX process controlling monitoring a control channel for a pre-defined radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) and at least one RNTI; and transmit, during the validation duration, the second trigger via the control channel of the cell even if the wireless device is not in the Active Time, wherein the wireless device, during the at least a portion of the validation duration:
 monitors the control channel for the pre-defined RNTI for the second trigger on the cell; and
 does not monitor the control channel for the at least one RNTI.

         2 . The base station of claim 1 , wherein the cell is a secondary cell.

         3 . The base station of claim 1 , wherein:
 the second DCI is addressed to the pre-defined RNTI; the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the base station to transmit the second trigger via the control channel by transmitting via a common search space of the control channel addressed to the pre-defined RNTI; and the pre-defined RNTI is a CC-RNTI.

         4 . The base station of claim 1 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the base station to transmit at least one message comprising configuration parameters of the DRX process.
