Abstract

A system for the viewing and selection of hair products includes a processor configured to obtain customer identification information characterizing one or more characteristics of a customer and to obtain customer measurement information characterizing one or more physical measurements of the customer. The processor also obtains selected product information characterizing a selected hair product of the customer and sends finalized order information regarding the selected hair product.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A system for the viewing and selection of hair products comprising a processor, the processor configured to:
 obtain customer identification information characterizing one or more characteristics of a customer;   obtain customer measurement information characterizing one or more physical measurements of the customer;   obtain selected product information characterizing a selected hair product of the customer; and   send finalized order information regarding the selected hair product.   
     
     
         2 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the finalized order information is sent to a vendor, the vendor being a registered user of the system and offers the selected hair product for sale on the system. 
     
     
         3 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to build a three dimensional model of the customer based on customer image data. 
     
     
         4 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the customer measurement information is determined by the processor based on three dimensional model of the customer. 
     
     
         5 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to obtain at least two images of the customer to determine a three dimensional model of the customer. 
     
     
         6 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to automatically build a three dimensional model of the customer using a machine learning model and at least one image of the customer. 
     
     
         7 . The system of  claim 5 , wherein the processor is configured to display a builder interface, the builder interface including a feature shell selector that is configured to display a feature shell overlaying the images of the customer. 
     
     
         8 . The system of  claim 7 , wherein the builder interface includes at least one shell modification shell control that is configured to modify one or more parameters of the feature shell. 
     
     
         9 . The system of  claim 7 , wherein the feature shell comprises a predetermined three dimensional model of a human head. 
     
     
         10 . The system of  claim 7 , wherein the processor is further configured to store a three dimensional model of the customer after the feature shell is fit to the at least two images of the customer. 
     
     
         11 . The system of  claim 7 , wherein the builder interface includes a dimensional tool that is configured to measure at least one dimension of the customer's head. 
     
     
         12 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to display a representation of the customer wearing the selected hair product. 
     
     
         13 . The system of  claim 12 , wherein the representation of the customer wearing the selected hair product comprises a three dimensional model of the customer. 
     
     
         14 . The system of  claim 13 , wherein the representation of the customer wearing the selected hair product comprises a three dimensional model of the selected hair product. 
     
     
         15 . The system of  claim 14 , wherein the processor is configured to build the three dimensional model of the customer based on at least two images of the customer obtained by the processor. 
     
     
         16 . The system of  claim 15 , wherein the processor is configured to obtain an augmented reality package of the selected hair product for display to the customer. 
     
     
         17 . A method selecting a hair product for use by a customer, the method comprising:
 obtaining customer identification information characterizing one or more characteristics of a customer;   obtaining customer measurement information characterizing one or more physical measurements of the customer;   obtaining selected product information characterizing a selected hair product selected of the customer; and   sending finalized order information regarding the selected hair product.   
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 17 , further comprising:
 displaying a builder interface, the builder interface including a feature shell selector that is configured to display a feature shell overlaying images of the customer; and   fitting the feature shell to the images of the customer by modifying one or more parameters of the feature shell.   
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 18 , further comprising:
 displaying a hair product selection interface, the hair product selection interface comprising a representation of the customer wearing the selected hair product.   
     
     
         20 . An apparatus for building a three dimensional model of a customer for use in a hair product selection system, the apparatus comprising:
 a data acquisition engine configured to obtain customer image data characterizing one or more features of the customer; and   a measurement engine comprising a builder interface, the builder interface comprising a feature shell selector to select a predetermined three dimensional feature shell from a plurality of three dimensional feature shells and at least one shell modification controls to modify the predetermined three dimensional feature shell in order to fit the predetermined three dimensional shell to the customer image data.
