Abstract
The present invention relates to polypeptides having DNase activity and polynucleotides encoding the polypeptides. The invention also relates to nucleic acid constructs, vectors, and host cells comprising the polynucleotides as well as methods of producing and using the polypeptides.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A polypeptide having DNase activity, selected from the group consisting of:
(a) a polypeptide having at least 80% sequence identity to the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 3; (b) a polypeptide having at least 80% sequence identity to the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 6; (c) a polypeptide having at least 80% sequence identity to the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 9; (d) a variant of the polypeptide selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO: 3, SEQ ID NO: 6, SEQ ID NO: 9, wherein the variant has DNase activity and comprises one or more amino acid substitutions, and/or one or more amino acid deletions, and/or one or more amino acid insertions or any combination thereof in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 or 20 positions; (e) a polypeptide comprising the polypeptide of (a) to (d) and a N-terminal and/or C-terminal His-tag and/or HQ-tag; (f) a polypeptide comprising the polypeptide of (a) to (d) and a N-terminal and/or C-terminal extension of between 1 and 10 amino acids; and (g) a fragment of the polypeptide of (a) to (d) having DNase activity and having at least 90% of the length of the mature polypeptide.
2 . The polypeptide of claim 1 , having at least 60% sequence identity to the polypeptide shown in SEQ ID NO: 3, SEQ ID NO: 6 or SEQ ID NO: 9.
3 . The polypeptide of claim 1 , which is encoded by a polynucleotide having at least 60% sequence identity to the mature polypeptide coding sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1, SEQ ID NO: 4 or SEQ ID NO: 7.
4 . The polypeptide of claim 1 selected from the group consisting of:
(a) a polypeptide comprising or consisting of SEQ ID NO: 3 or the mature polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 2;
(b) a polypeptide comprising or consisting of SEQ ID NO: 6 or the mature polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 5; and
(c) a polypeptide comprising or consisting of SEQ ID NO: 9 or the mature polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 8.
5 . A polynucleotide encoding the polypeptide of claim 1 .
6 . A nucleic acid construct or expression vector comprising the polynucleotide of claim 5 operably linked to one or more control sequences that direct the production of the polypeptide in an expression host.
7 . A recombinant host cell comprising the polynucleotide of claim 5 operably linked to one or more control sequences that direct the production of the polypeptide.
8 . A method of producing the polypeptide of claim 1 , comprising cultivating a cell which in its wild-type form produces the polypeptide under conditions conducive for production of the polypeptide.
9 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising recovering the polypeptide.
10 . A method of producing a polypeptide having DNase activity, comprising cultivating the host cell of claim 7 under conditions conducive for production of the polypeptide.
11 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising recovering the polypeptide.
12 . A composition comprising the polypeptide of claim 1 and at least one detergent adjunct ingredient.
13 . The composition of claim 12 , wherein the composition is a cleaning or detergent composition, an automatic dish wash (ADW) composition or a laundry composition.

16 . A method for laundering a textile comprising:
