Abstract
A method for processing a priority for transmission by a user equipment (UE) in a device-to-device (D2D) communication system are provided. The method includes receiving a priority for a packet to be transmitted from a higher layer, mapping the packet to a logical channel based on the priority and a destination to which the packet is to be transmitted, receiving a grant for the transmission of the packet from a base station, and transmitting the packet.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
transmitting, to a base station (BS), a first message including a first list indicating at least one one-to-many sidelink communication destination and a second list indicating at least one one-to-one sidelink communication destination; and transmitting, to the BS, a buffer status report (BSR) including a destination index to identify a destination for a sidelink communication, wherein the destination index is indexed based on the first list and the second list.
2 . The method of claim 1 ,
wherein the at least one one-to-one sidelink communication destination is identified by an identifier (ID) for a unicast communication, and wherein the at least one one-to-many sidelink communication destination is identified by a group ID.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the sidelink BSR further includes a logical channel group (LCG) ID to identify an LCG including logical channels to which buffer status is reported.
4 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising:
receiving, from the BS, a second message including information related to mapping between LCG IDs and priorities, wherein each of the logical channels is mapped to the LCG based on a priority of each of the logical channels and the information related to the mapping between the LCG IDs and the priorities.
5 . The method of claim 4 ,
wherein the second message further includes information indicating a pool of resources for sidelink control (SC) information when the BS allocates transmission resources, and wherein the BSR is transmitted based on the information indicating the pool of the resources for the SC information.
6 . A method performed by a base station (BS) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
receiving, from a user equipment (UE), a first message including a first list indicating at least one one-to-many sidelink communication destination and a second list indicating at least one one-to-one sidelink communication destination; and receiving, from the UE, a buffer status report (BSR) including a destination index to identify a destination for a sidelink communication, wherein the destination index is indexed based on the first list and the second list.
7 . The method of claim 6 ,
wherein the at least one one-to-one sidelink communication destination is identified by an identifier (ID) for a unicast communication, and wherein the at least one one-to-many sidelink communication destination is identified by a group ID.
8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the sidelink BSR further includes a logical channel group (LCG) ID to identify an LCG including logical channels to which buffer status is reported.
9 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
transmitting, to the UE, a second message including information related to mapping between LCG IDs and priorities, wherein each of the logical channels is mapped to the LCG based on a priority of each of the logical channels and the information related to the mapping between the LCG IDs and the priorities.
10 . The method of claim 9 ,
wherein the second message further includes information indicating a pool of resources for sidelink control (SC) information when the BS allocates transmission resources, and wherein the BSR is received based on the information indicating the pool of the resources for the SC information.
11 . A user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the UE comprising:
a transceiver; and at least one processor configured to:
transmit, to a base station (BS) via the transceiver, a first message including a first list indicating at least one one-to-many sidelink communication destination and a second list indicating at least one one-to-one sidelink communication destination, and
transmit, to the BS via the transceiver, a buffer status report (BSR) including a destination index to identify a destination for a sidelink communication,
wherein the destination index is indexed based on the first list and the second list.
12 . The UE of claim 11 ,
wherein the at least one one-to-one sidelink communication destination is identified by an identifier (ID) for a unicast communication, and wherein the at least one one-to-many sidelink communication destination is identified by a group ID.
13 . The UE of claim 12 , wherein the sidelink BSR further includes a logical channel group (LCG) ID to identify an LCG including logical channels to which buffer status is reported.
14 . The UE of claim 13 , wherein the at least one processor is further configured to:
receive, from the BS via the transceiver, a second message including information related to mapping between LCG IDs and priorities, and wherein each of the logical channels is mapped to the LCG based on a priority of each of the logical channels and the information related to the mapping between the LCG IDs and the priorities.
15 . The UE of claim 14 ,
wherein the second message further includes information indicating a pool of resources for sidelink control (SC) information when the BS allocates transmission resources, and wherein the BSR is transmitted based on the information indicating the pool of the resources for the SC information.
16 . A base station (BS) in a wireless communication system, the BS comprising:
a transceiver; and at least one processor configured to:
receive, from a user equipment (UE) via the transceiver, a first message including a first list indicating at least one one-to-many sidelink communication destination and a second list indicating at least one one-to-one sidelink communication destination, and
receive, from the UE via the transceiver, a buffer status report (BSR) including a destination index to identify a destination for a sidelink communication,
wherein the destination index is indexed based on the first list and the second list.
17 . The BS of claim 16 ,
wherein the at least one one-to-one sidelink communication destination is identified by an identifier (ID) for a unicast communication, and wherein the at least one one-to-many sidelink communication destination is identified by a group ID.
18 . The BS of claim 17 , wherein the sidelink BSR further includes a logical channel group (LCG) ID to identify an LCG including logical channels to which buffer status is reported.
19 . The BS of claim 18 ,
wherein the at least one processor is further configured to:
transmit, to the UE via the transceiver, a second message including information related to mapping between LCG IDs and priorities, and
