Social Media with Variable Posting Times

Abstract

An electronic communications method for sharing social media at variable posting times includes displaying a first user interface for composing a social media posting, wherein the first user interface comprises a body area for including content of the social media posting, a first option to share the social media posting immediately, and a second option to post the social media posting at a later time. A user input is received for selecting the second option to post the social media posting at the later time. A second user interface is displayed for specifying the later time, wherein the later time comprises a date and a time, and information instructing the content of the social media posting to be posted at the later time is sent.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An electronic device comprising:
 a hardware processor; and   a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium coupled to the hardware processor and configured to store instructions that, when executed by the hardware processor, cause the electronic device to:
 display a first user interface for composing a social media posting, wherein the first user interface comprises a body area for including content of the social media posting, a first option to share the social media posting immediately, and a second option to post the social media posting at a later time; 
 receive a user input selecting the second option to post the social media posting at the later time; 
 display a second user interface for specifying the later time, wherein the later time comprises a date and a time; and 
 send information instructing the content of the social media posting to be posted at the later time. 
   
     
     
         2 . The electronic device of  claim 1 , wherein before the instructions cause the electronic device to display the first user interface, the instructions cause the electronic device to display a sharing options configuration interface. 
     
     
         3 . The electronic device of  claim 2 , wherein the sharing options configuration interface comprises a selection box for turning a delayed sharing feature on and off. 
     
     
         4 . The electronic device of  claim 2 , wherein the sharing options configuration interface comprises a settings box for configuring settings of a delayed sharing feature. 
     
     
         5 . The electronic device of  claim 4 , wherein the settings of the delayed sharing feature comprise an option for adjusting by time zone. 
     
     
         6 . The electronic device of  claim 4 , wherein the settings of the delayed sharing feature comprise an option for setting a default time. 
     
     
         7 . The electronic device of  claim 1 , wherein the social media posting comprises an electronic mail message, a text message, a phone message, a voice message, a blog entry, website content, or a social media application communication. 
     
     
         8 . The electronic device of  claim 1 , wherein the social media posting is generated by artificial intelligence (AI). 
     
     
         9 . An electronic communications method, implemented by an electronic device, the electronic communications method comprising:
 displaying a first user interface for composing a social media posting, wherein the first user interface comprises a body area for including content of the social media posting, a first option to share the social media posting immediately, and a second option to post the social media posting at a later time;   receive a user input selecting the second option to post the social media posting at the later time;   display a second user interface for specifying the later time, wherein the later time comprises a date and a time; and   send information instructing the content of the social media posting to be posted at the later time.   
     
     
         10 . The electronic communications method of  claim 9 , wherein before the first user interface is displayed, the electronic communications method comprises displaying a sharing options configuration interface. 
     
     
         11 . The electronic communications method of  claim 10 , wherein the sharing options configuration interface comprises a selection box for turning a delayed sharing feature on and off. 
     
     
         12 . The electronic communications method of  claim 10 , wherein the sharing options configuration interface comprises a settings box for configuring settings of a delayed sharing feature. 
     
     
         13 . The electronic communications method of  claim 12 , wherein the settings of the delayed sharing feature comprise an option for adjusting by time zone. 
     
     
         14 . The electronic communications method of  claim 12 , wherein the settings of the delayed sharing feature comprise an option for setting a default time. 
     
     
         15 . The electronic communications method of  claim 9 , wherein the social media posting comprises an electronic mail message, a text message, a phone message, a voice message, a blog entry, website content, or a social media application communication. 
     
     
         16 . The electronic communications method of  claim 9 , wherein the social media posting is generated by artificial intelligence (AI). 
     
     
         17 . The electronic communications method of  claim 9 , wherein the social media posting comprises an advertising message that is sent to a plurality of recipients. 
     
     
         18 . A computer program product comprising computer-executable instructions that, when executed by a computer processor, cause an apparatus to:
 display a first user interface for composing a social media posting, wherein the first user interface comprises a body area for including content of the social media posting, a first option to share the social media posting immediately, and a second option to post the social media posting at a later time;   receive a user input selecting the second option to post the social media posting at the later time;   display a second user interface for specifying the later time, wherein the later time comprises a date and a time; and   send information instructing the content of the social media posting to be posted at the later time.   
     
     
         19 . The computer program product of  claim 18 , wherein the social media posting is generated by artificial intelligence (AI). 
     
     
         20 . The computer program product of  claim 18 , wherein the social media posting comprises an advertising message that is sent to a plurality of recipients.
