System, method, and material for encouraging study or mastery of a fibre art skill

Abstract

A system, method, and material for encouraging study or mastery of a fibre art skill is provided. A fibre source material is incentivized to encourage individuals learning or mastering a fibre art skill by concealing a tracker in the fibre material or attaching it to the packaging of the fibre material. The tracker may be a coupon, token, or ticket that reveals a code, number, or some other form of identifier associated with an incentive. The tracker is revealed upon unwinding the fibre material while performing the fibre art skill, which allows the individual to exchange the revealed tracker for an incentive at, for example, a specific store, online, or through some other specified manner

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method for encouraging study or mastery of a fibre art skill, the method comprising:
 providing incentivized fibre material to an individual for use in performing a fibre art skill, where an incentivized fibre material is a fibre material having a tracker secured in a wound skein of the fibre material and a metallic or other conductive material spun in the fibre material;   receiving, from one or more sensing devices configured to sense the metallic or other conductive material while the individual is performing the fibre art skill, information for tracking use of the fibre material;   determining whether or not one or more predefined targets have been achieved;   revealing, upon determining that one or more of the predefined targets has been achieved a code or identifier associated with the tracker to the individual; and   redeeming the incentive associated with the revealed code or identifier.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the tracker includes a first part secured to the outside of the skein and a second concealed part indicating the code or identifier secured to a core of the skein. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the tracker is provided as part of the skein packaging and provides the individual access to a website or municipal address delivery instructions for establishing completion of the one or more predefined conditions. 
     
     
         4 . A fibre material for encourage study or mastery of a fibre art skill, the fibre material being wound into a skein in a criss-cross pattern and having secured therein a code or identifier which is revealed or exposed upon completion of one or more predefined conditions while performing a fibre art skill, wherein the revealed or exposed code or identifier can be redeemed for an incentive. 
     
     
         5 . The fibre material of  claim 4 , wherein the code or identifier is provided on a coupon or token secured in a hollow of the skein. 
     
     
         6 . A fibre material for encouraging study or mastery of a fibre art skill, the fibre material having a metallic or other conductive material spun therein as one continuous thread, the conductive thread being sensed by one or more sensing device to track use of the fibre to perform the fibre art skill.
