Abstract

A word game apparatus and method of use for education and entertainment includes a game board having a board top side, a board bottom side, and a board perimeter. The board top side has a central play portion. A plurality of letter tiles includes three alphabet sets of twenty-six letter tiles. Each alphabet set contains one letter tile with each letter of the alphabet. A tile box contains the plurality of letter tiles. There is a tile cup, a plurality of writing panel, a plurality of dry erase markers, a score pad, and a pencil.

1 . A word game apparatus comprising:
 a game board; the game board having a board top side, a board bottom side, and a board perimeter, the board top side having a central play portion;   a plurality of letter tiles, the plurality of letter tiles including three alphabet sets of twenty-six letter tiles, each alphabet set containing one letter tile with each letter of the alphabet;   a tile box, the tile box containing the plurality of letter tiles;   a tile cup;   a plurality of writing panels;   a plurality of dry erase markers;   a score pad; and   a pencil.   
     
     
         2 . The word game apparatus of  claim 1  further comprising a turntable base coupled to the board bottom side of the game board. 
     
     
         3 . The word game apparatus of  claim 1  further comprising the central play portion being square. 
     
     
         4 . The word game apparatus of  claim 1  further comprising a plurality of holder racks coupled to the board top side, each holder rack being coupled between the central play portion and the board perimeter, each holder rack supporting the writing panels and the dry erase markers. 
     
     
         5 . The word game apparatus of  claim 4  further comprising each rack having a rack base extending from the central play portion to the board perimeter, a back ridge adjacent the central play portion, a medial ridge, and a front ridge adjacent the board perimeter, the writing panels being supported on the back ridge and against the medial ridge, the dry erase markers being supported between the medial ridge and the front ridge. 
     
     
         6 . The word game apparatus of  claim 1  further comprising a plurality of cleaning cloths, each cleaning cloth removing writing from the writing panels. 
     
     
         7 . A word game apparatus comprising:
 a game board, the game board having a board top side, a board bottom side, and a board perimeter, the board top side having a square central play portion;   a turntable base coupled to the board bottom side of the game board;   a plurality of holder racks coupled to the board top side, each holder rack being coupled between the central play portion and the board perimeter, each rack having a rack base extending from the central play portion to the board perimeter, a back ridge adjacent the central play portion, a medial ridge, and a front ridge adjacent the board perimeter;   a plurality of letter tiles, the plurality of letter tiles including three alphabet sets of twenty-six letter tiles, each alphabet set containing one letter tile with each letter of the alphabet;   a tile box, the tile box containing the plurality of letter tiles;   a tile cup;   a plurality of writing panels, the writing panels being supported on the back ridge and against the medial ridge of the holder racks;   a plurality of dry erase markers, the dry erase markers being supported between the medial ridge and the front ridge;   a plurality of cleaning cloths, each cleaning cloth removing writing from the writing panels;   a score pad; and   a pencil.   
     
     
         8 . A method of playing a word game comprising the steps of:
 having a word game apparatus, the word game apparatus comprising:
 a game board, the game board having a board top side, a board bottom side, and a board perimeter, the board top side having a central play portion; 
 a plurality of letter tiles, the plurality of letter tiles including three alphabet sets of twenty-six letter tiles, each alphabet set containing one letter tile with each letter of the alphabet; 
 a tile box, the tile box containing the plurality of letter tiles; 
 a tile cup; 
 a plurality of writing panels; 
 a plurality of dry erase markers; 
 a score pad; and 
 a pencil; 
   placing one alphabet set of the plurality of letter tiles face down, the face down alphabet set henceforth being the pile;   scrambling the pile;   each player selecting three letter tiles from the pile;   each player writing a word with the dry erase marker on the writing panel, the word including the letter of at least one of the selected three letter tiles;   each player placing the writing panel on the game board;   if the writing panels show words with duplicate letters, drawing the duplicate letters on letter tiles of the remaining two alphabet sets and adding them to the pile face down;   a player taking a turn drawing one letter tile from the pile and placing the letter tile on the central play portion of the game board in front of the writing panel showing a word having the selected letter; and   advancing clockwise to the next player and repeating the previous step until either all words shown on the writing panels are spelled with letter tiles on the central play portion or until there are no more letter tiles in the pile.
