Method for controlling a display device

Abstract

A display device has a light emitting module and a modulating module. The modulating module is disposed on the light emitting module. The display device is switched to change a transmitting direction of light emitted from the light emitting module by adjusting the modulating module according to a switch signal.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method for controlling a display device which comprises a light emitting module and a modulating module disposed on the light emitting module, the method comprising:
 providing a switching signal; and   by adjusting the modulating module according to the switch signal, switching the display device to change a transmitting direction of light emitted from the light emitting module.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the modulating module comprises a modulating material layer. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the display device is switched to change the transmitting direction of the light by adjusting a refractive index of the modulating material layer according to the switch signal. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the modulating material layer is a liquid crystal layer. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the display device further comprises a lens disposed on the modulating material layer. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the display device further comprises a control circuit electrically connected to the modulating module and configured to switch the display device. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the light emitting module comprises a plurality of light emitting units. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein an automobile comprises the display device.
