Electronic device for inventory management and its operation method

Abstract

The present disclosure provides an electronic apparatus for inventory management and an operation method thereof. The operation method includes receiving a consolidation task request, identifying, in response to the received consolidation task request, information on at least one item based on an item space usage rate for each zone calculated in real time, wherein the at least one item is a target on which a picking task is to be performed, transmitting the information on the at least one item to a terminal, receiving a picking task result of the at least one item from the terminal, and updating information on inventory based on the picking task result.

         2 . A method operable by an electronic apparatus for inventory management, the method comprising:
 receiving, from a terminal, a target space usage rate for each location of a plurality of locations;   generating information identifying at least one item by comparing a space usage rate of the at least one item for each location of the plurality of locations and the target space usage rate for each location of the plurality of locations, wherein a consolidation task comprising a picking task is to be performed for the at least one item;   transmitting, to the terminal, the information identifying the at least one item;   receiving, from the terminal, information identifying a first location of the plurality of locations based on the information identifying the at least one item, wherein a user performs the picking task in the first location;   receiving, from the terminal, a picking task result for a first item of the at least one item, wherein the first item is included in the first location; and   updating at least one of a consolidation plan, a consolidation status, or an error report of consolidation, based on the picking task result for the first item.   
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the information identifying the first location comprises detailed location information identifying a zone in which the first location is located, wherein the zone comprises an aisle. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the error report of consolidation comprises an error report for at least one of:
 the information identifying the first location is not identifiable,   information identifying the first item is not identifiable, and   a picking quantity of the first item does not correspond to a target quantity.   
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the information identifying the at least one item includes at least one of identification information, quantity information, or location information for the at least one item for which the picking task is to be performed. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the terminal is configured to:
 output the information identifying the at least one item, and   verify whether the at least one item is picked by a quantity corresponding to a target quantity.   
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the space usage rate of the at least one item comprises a ratio of a volume of a space in which the at least one item may be placed in a particular location of the plurality of locations to a volume of a space capable of receiving the at least one item in the particular location, wherein the space usage rate of the at least one item is changed based on a picking task being performed on the at least one item in the particular location. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the terminal is configured to:
 request input of identification information of the first location; and   in response to receiving an indication that the identification information of the first location cannot be input, request input of identification information of a second location of the plurality of locations, wherein the first item is included in the second location, wherein the second location and the first location comprise different locations.   
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the terminal is configured to:
 request input of identification information of the first item included in the first location; and   in response to receiving an indication that the identification information of the first item cannot be input, request input of identification information of a second location of the plurality of locations, wherein the first item is included in the second location, wherein the second location and the first location comprise different locations.   
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the terminal is configured to:
 request an input of a picking quantity of the first item included in the first location; and   in response to receiving an indication that the picking quantity of the first item does not correspond to a target quantity, request an input of terminating the consolidation task or an input of identification information of a second location of the plurality of locations, wherein first item is included in the second location, wherein the second location and the first location comprise different locations.   
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the terminal is configured to:
 request an input of a picking quantity of the first item included in the first location; and   in response to receiving an indication that the picking quantity of the first item satisfies a target quantity, request an input of terminating the consolidation task or an input of identification information of a second item of the at least one item, wherein the second item and the first item comprise different items.   
     
     
         12 . A non-transitory computer readable recording medium comprising a computer program, which, when executed, causes an electronic apparatus, the electronic apparatus comprising a processor, to:
 receive, from a terminal, a target space usage rate for each location of a plurality of locations;   generate information identifying at least one item by comparing a space usage rate of the at least one item for each location of the plurality of locations and the target space usage rate for each location of the plurality of locations, wherein a consolidation task comprising a picking task is to be performed for the at least one item;   transmit, to the terminal, the information identifying the at least one item;   receive, from the terminal, information identifying a first location of the plurality of locations based on the information identifying the at least one item, wherein a user performs the picking task in the first location;   receive, from the terminal, a picking task result for a first item of the at least one item, wherein the first item is included in the first location; and   update at least one of a consolidation plan, a consolidation status, or an error report of consolidation, based on the picking task result for the first item.   
     
     
         13 . An electronic apparatus for inventory management, the apparatus comprising:
 a communication device; and   a controller configured to control the communication device,   wherein the controller is configured to:
 receive, from a terminal through the communication device, a target space usage rate for each location of a plurality of locations; 
 generate information identifying at least one item by comparing a space usage rate of the at least one item for each location of the plurality of locations and the target space usage rate for each location of the plurality of locations, wherein a consolidation task comprising a picking task is to be performed for the at least one item; 
 transmit, to the terminal through the communication device, the information identifying the at least one item; 
 receive, from the terminal through the communication device, based on the information identifying the at least one item, information identifying a first location of the plurality of locations, wherein a user performs the picking task in the first location; 
 receive, from the terminal through the communication device, a picking task result for a first item of the at least one item, wherein the first item is included in the first location; and 
 update at least one of a consolidation plan, a consolidation status, or an error report of consolidation, based on the picking task result for the first item. 
   
     
     
         14 . A method operable by a terminal for inventory management, the method comprising:
 receiving input of a target space usage rate for each location of a plurality of locations;   transmitting, to an electronic apparatus, the target space usage rate for each location of the plurality of locations;   receiving, from the electronic apparatus, information identifying at least one item based on comparing a space usage rate of the at least one item for each location of the plurality of locations and the target space usage rate for each location of the plurality of locations, wherein a consolidation task comprising a picking task is to be performed for the at least one item;   receiving input of information identifying a first location of the plurality of locations based on the information identifying the at least one item, wherein a user performs the picking task in the first location;   receiving input of a picking task result for a first item of the at least one item, wherein the first item is included in the first location;   transmitting, to the electronic apparatus, the input of the picking task result for the first item; and   receiving updated information identifying at least one of a consolidation plan, a consolidation status, or an error report of consolidation, based on the picking task result for the first item.
