Systems and methods for managing client requests to access services provided by a data center
Abstract
Described embodiments provide systems and methods for managing client requests to access services provided by a data center. A method can include identifying, by a first device, metrics of client requests to a service communicated from a plurality of clients via one or more Internet service providers (ISPs) to a data center including a plurality of servers providing the service. The method can include identifying metrics of application programming interface (API) requests communicated between a plurality of microservices of the service responsive to the client requests being forwarded to the plurality of servers. The method can include identifying metrics of responses to the client requests. The method can include displaying a service graph generated to identify, via the metrics, an issue with at least one of the one or more ISPs, the plurality of microservices, or one or more WAN links.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWe claim:
1 . A method comprising:
identifying, by a device, metrics for a service, the metrics generated from requests to the service communicated by a plurality of clients and responses from the service communicated to the plurality of clients via one or more wide area network (WAN) links selected for the service to communicate the responses; generating, by the device, a service graph to identify, using the metrics, an issue with the one or more WAN links; and displaying, by the device, the service graph with an indicator that identifies the issue with the one or more WAN links.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the metrics are further generated from one or more application programming interface (API) calls between microservices of the service caused by the client requests, the metrics are used to identify one or more issues with one or more of the microservices.
3 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising generating, by the device, the service graph to identify the one or more issues with at least one of the microservices of the services.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the requests are communicated to the service via one or more Internet service providers (ISPs) to a data center providing a plurality of servers hosting the service.
5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the metrics identify one or more issues with the one or more ISPs.
6 . The method of claim 5 , further comprising generating, by the device, the service graph to identify the one or more issues with at least one of the one or more ISPs.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein a WAN link from the one or more WAN links is selected for the service by a network device between the service and the plurality of clients.
8 . A device comprising:
one or more metrics, coupled to memory and configured to: identify metrics for a service, the metrics generated from requests to the service communicated by a plurality of clients and responses from the service communicated to the plurality of clients via one or more wide area network (WAN) links selected for the service to communicate the responses; generate a service graph to identify, using the metrics, an issue with the one or more WAN links; and display the service graph with an indicator that identifies the issue with the one or more WAN links.
9 . The device of claim 8 , wherein the metrics are further generated from one or more application programming interface (API) calls between microservices of the service caused by the requests, the metrics are used to identify one or more issues with one or more of the microservices.
10 . The device of claim 9 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to generate the service graph to identify the one or more issues with at least one of the microservices of the services.
11 . The device of claim 8 , wherein the plurality of requests are communicated to the service via one or more Internet service providers (ISPs) to a data center providing a plurality of servers hosting the service.
12 . The device of claim 11 , wherein the metrics identify one or more issues with the one or more ISPs.
13 . The device of claim 12 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to generate the service graph to identify the one or more issues with at least one of the one or more ISPs.
14 . The device of claim 8 , wherein a WAN link from the one or more WAN links is selected for the service by a network device.
15 . A system comprising:
a device to receive metrics for a service, wherein the service is in communication with a plurality of clients via one or more Internet service providers (ISPs) and one or more wide area network (WAN) links; wherein the metrics are generated from requests to the service communicated by the plurality of clients via the one or more ISPs and responses from the service communicated to the plurality of clients via the one or more wide area network (WAN) links selected for the service to communicate the responses; wherein the device is configured to create a service graph based at least on the metrics, the metrics used to identify one or more issues with at least one of the one or more ISPs or the one or more WANs; wherein the service graph is configured to display an indicator to identify the one or more issues based at least on the metrics.
16 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the metrics are further generated from one or more application programming interface (API) calls between microservices of the service caused by the client requests, wherein the metrics are used to identify one or more issues with one or more of the microservices.
17 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the device is further configured to generate the service graph to identify the one or more issues with at least one of the microservices of the services.
18 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the metrics are generated from network traffic of the plurality of clients between the one or more ISPs and the service.
19 . The system of claim 15 , wherein a WAN link from the one or more WAN links is selected for the service by a network device.
20 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the device is intermediary to the plurality of clients and one or more servers hosting the service.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
