Abstract

A device provides, to a navigation device, original route information that includes information indicating directions from an origination to a destination, and waypoints. The device receives, from the navigation device, a request for a new route from a current location to the destination, and receives the original route information when the request is associated with an original route stored in the data structure. The device identifies a point along the original route, closest to the current location, and calculates a route from the point along the original route to the current location. The device combines the route and the original route at the point along the original route to create a new route from the current location to the destination, and provides, to the navigation device, new route information for the new route, where the new route information includes information indicating waypoints between the current location and the destination.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A method, comprising:
 providing, by a device, information associated with a first route from a first location to a destination; receiving, by the device, a request for information associated with a second route from a second location to the destination; identifying, by the device, a location associated with a point along the first route that is closest to the second location; determining, by the device, the second route from the second location to the destination,
 wherein the second route includes the location associated with the point;
   mapping, by the device and based on a search model, the second route to information associated with the second route,
 wherein the search model identifies a target value within information associated with one or more routes that includes the first route; and
   providing, by the device, the information associated with second route.

         2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the destination is a first destination, and
 wherein determining the second route further comprises:
 determining whether information associated with the first destination matches information of a second destination associated with a third route stored in the information associated with the one or more routes,
 wherein the third route is associated with another device.

         3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the destination is a first destination, and
 wherein determining the second route further comprises:
 determining whether information associated with the first destination matches a second destination associated with a third route stored in the information associated with the one or more routes; and
 receiving, based on determining that the first route is associated with the information associated with the second destination, the information associated with the first route.

         4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein receiving the request is based on another device moving from the second location.

         5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the information associated with the second route includes at least one of:
 information indicating directions from the second location to the destination, information indicating one or more waypoints between the second location and the destination, or information indicating an estimated arrival time at the destination.

         6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein determining the second route further comprises:
 determining a third route from the location associated with the point to the second location; and generating, based on combining the third route and the first route at the point, the second route.

         7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein identifying the location associated with the point is based on a predetermined distance between the location associated with the point and the second location.

         8 . A device, comprising:
 one or more processors configured to:
 provide information associated with a first route from a first location to a destination;
 receive a request for information associated with a second route from a second location to the destination;
 identify a location associated with a point along the first route that is closest to the second location;
 determine the second route from the second location to the destination,
 wherein the second route includes the location associated with the point;

 map, based on a search model, the second route to information associated with the second route,
 wherein the search model identifies a target value within information associated with one or more routes that includes the first route; and

 provide the information associated with second route.

         9 . The device of claim 8 , wherein the destination is a first destination, and
 wherein the one or more processors, to determine the second route, are configured to:
 determine whether information associated with the first destination matches information of a second destination associated with a third route stored in the information associated with the one or more routes,
 wherein the third route is associated with another device.

         10 . The device of claim 8 , wherein the destination is a first destination, and
 wherein the one or more processors, to determine the second route, are configured to:
 determine whether information associated with the first destination matches a second destination associated with a third route stored in the information associated with the one or more routes; and
 receive, based on determining that the first route is associated with the information associated with the second destination, the information associated with the first route.

         11 . The device of claim 8 , wherein receiving the request is based on another device moving from the second location.

         12 . The device of claim 8 , wherein the information associated with the second route includes at least one of:
 information indicating directions from the second location to the destination, information indicating one or more waypoints between the second location and the destination, or information indicating an estimated arrival time at the destination.

         13 . The device of claim 8 , wherein the one or more processors, to determine the second route, are configured to:
 determine a third route from the location associated with the point to the second location; and generate, based on combining the third route and the first route at the point, the second route.

         14 . The device of claim 8 , wherein identifying the location associated with the point is based on a predetermined distance between the location associated with the point and the second location.

         15 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a set of instructions, the set of instructions comprising:
 one or more instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a device, cause the device to:
 provide information associated with a first route from a first location to a destination;
 receive a request for information associated with a second route from a second location to the destination;
 identify a location associated with a point along the first route that is closest to the second location;
