Abstract
An electronic air pump pressurizes object in either manual or automatic mode. In automatic mode, the electronic air pump determines air pressure needed to adjust an object to a set target pressure. The electronic air pump inflates or deflates the ball automatically until the air pressure inside the ball matches the preset value. In manual mode regulation of the air pressure is adjusted by a user.

1 . An electronic air pump comprising:
a main body casing having a cylindrical wall, a top end and a bottom end, the main body casing structured to form a cavity, the housing including: a first input switch corresponding to inserting air, and a second input switch corresponding to releasing air; a recessed casing coupled to the main body casing, the recessed casing having a cylindrical wall of a smaller diameter than the cylindrical wall of the main body casing, a top end and a bottom end, and having a threaded aperture; a cap coupled to the top end of the recessed casing, the cap having a cylindrical shape of a similar diameter to the top end of the main body casing and enclosing a needle; and a processing circuit within the main body casing, the processing circuit comprising a controller circuit and configured to provide an actuation signal to a pump motor responsive to triggering the first input switch and to provide a pulse width modulation signal to a solenoid valve to responsive to triggering the second input switch.
2 . The electronic air pump of claim 1 , wherein a bottom surface of the cap comprises a pliable material.
3 . The electronic air pump of claim 1 , where a bottom surface of the cap comprises a concave shape.
4 . The electronic air pump of claim 1 , wherein the electronic air pump is in an open position responsive to the cap being flush with the main body casing.
5 . The electronic air pump of claim 1 , further comprising a first magnet included on the main body casing and a second magnet included on the cap and wherein the first magnet and the second magnet are coupled when the electronic air pump is in an open position.
6 . The electronic air pump of claim 1 , further comprising:
a front display with a transmissive film and a light emitting diode (LED) matrix, the LED matrix emitting light directed outwardly through the transmissive film when the electronic air pump is in an open position; and wherein the input mechanisms are structured on a front face of the electronic air pump and protrude from analogous shaped openings on the main body casing.
7 . The electronic air pump of claim 6 , wherein the front display is obscured when the electronic air pump is in a closed position.
8 . The electronic air pump of claim 1 , further comprising an input mechanism configured to set the electronic air pump to a manual mode or an automatic mode in response to user input.
9 . The electronic air pump of claim 1 , wherein the pump has a height of approximately 20 to 30 centimeters.
10 . The electronic air pump of claim 1 , wherein the pump has a weight of approximately 170 to 340 grams.
11 . The electronic air pump of claim 1 , further comprising an audio output device electronically coupled to the processing circuit and configured to output an audio signal responsive to a target pressure being reached when the electronic air pump is in an automatic mode.
12 . The electronic air pump of claim 1 , further comprising a pressure sensor configured to measure air pressure inside the electronic air pump.
13 . The electronic air pump of claim 12 , wherein the pressure sensor measures the air pressure inside the electronic air pump by averaging a plurality of air pressure sample measurements taken at specified intervals.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
