Abstract
Methods are provided for treatment of lung cancers, particularly small cell lung cancer with targeted therapy, which optionally includes an agent that selectively blocks CD47 binding to SIRPα.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 7 . (canceled)
8 . A method of treating an individual with lung cancer, the method comprising:
administering to a human subject in need thereof a combination of (i) an agent that selectively blocks CD47 binding to SIRPα and (ii) a targeted therapeutic agent that specifically binds to one or more cell-surface antigens on lung cancer cells, in a dose effective to increase depletion of the lung cancer cells.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the agent that selectively blocks CD47 binding to SIRPα is an antibody.
10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the antibody specifically binds to CD47.
11 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the antibody specifically binds to SIRPα.
12 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the agent that selectively blocks CD47 binding to SIRPα is a soluble SIRPα polypeptide.
13 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the agent that selectively blocks CD47 binding to SIRPα is a soluble CD47 polypeptide.
14 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the one or more cell-surface antigens on lung cancer cells are selected from CD24, CD166, CD326, CD298, CD29, CD63, CD9, CD164, CD99, CD46, CD59, CD57, CD165, and EpCAM.
15 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the combination of agents is administered simultaneously.
16 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the combination of agents is administered sequentially.
17 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the combination of agents is administered in overlapping dosing regimens
18 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the individual is a human.
19 . The method of claim 18 , wherein the lung cancer is small cell lung cancer.
20 . The method of claim 19 , wherein said marker is selected from CD99, CD44 and EpCam.
21 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the combination of agents provides for a synergistic effect.
22 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the anti-CD47 antibody comprises an IgG4 Fc region.
23 . The method of claim 22 wherein the antibody is 5F9-G4.
24 . A method for the treatment of a lung cancer in a patient, the method comprising:
administering to said patient an effective dose of a targeted therapeutic agent that specifically binds to a cell surface antigen selected from CD99, CD44, EpCam, CD24, CD166, CD56, CD326, CD298, CD29, CD63, CD9, CD164, CD46, CD59, CD57, and CD165.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
