Abstract
A container having a removable drain sensor configured to monitor one or more container parameters and/or one or more external container parameters. The drain sensor being configured to communicate with a remote device to enable remote monitoring of one or more of the parameters.

1 . A container, comprising:
a body having a bottom, a plurality of side walls, a front wall and a back wall, wherein the bottom and the walls form a compartment for storing contents; at least one closure pivotally coupled to a portion of the body, the closure having a top surface, a bottom surface and a perimeter edge for selectively enclosing or sealing the compartment of the body; at least one drain being formed in the body of the container; and at least one sensor being removably mateable with the at least one drain; wherein the sensor is configured to monitor a state of the container and to prevent a draining of the compartment when mated in the drain.
2 . The container of claim 1 , wherein the sensor is threaded into the drain.
3 . The container of claim 1 , wherein the sensor further comprises an outer surface having a display configured to display the state being monitored.
4 . The container of claim 1 , wherein the sensor comprises a temperature sensor.
5 . The container of claim 1 , wherein the sensor comprises a pressure sensor.
6 . The container of claim 1 , wherein the sensor comprises a tilt sensor.
7 . The container of claim 1 , wherein the sensor comprises a humidity sensor.
8 . The container of claim 1 , wherein the sensor comprises a proximity sensor configured to sense and alert when a distance between the container and an object is exceeded.
9 . The container of claim 8 , wherein the object is a smartphone.
10 . The container of claim 1 , wherein the sensor further comprises a control circuitry operatively disposed in an interior of the sensor, the control circuitry configured to control the sensor.
11 . The container of claim 10 , wherein the control circuitry further comprises a depressible button in operative communication thereto, the depressible button being disposed on an outer surface of the sensor.
12 . The container of claim 10 , wherein the control circuitry is configured to communicate with a smart device.
13 . The container of claim 1 , wherein the sensor is configured to be removable from the drain to monitor a condition separate from the container.
14 . A container, comprising:
a body having a bottom, a plurality of side walls, a front wall and a back wall, wherein the bottom and the walls form a compartment for storing contents; at least one closure matable to the body, the at least one closure having a top surface, a bottom surface and a perimeter edge matable to the body for selectively enclosing or sealing the compartment of the body, wherein the closure is movable between an open position and a closed position; and at least one drain sensor having a stem removably insertable into a drain hole extending through the body, the drain sensor being configured to monitor a condition of the container.
15 . The container of claim 14 , wherein the drain sensor further comprises an outer surface having a digital display that is configured to display a parameter of the condition being monitored.
16 . The container of claim 14 , wherein the condition being monitored further includes one or more of a compartment temperature, a compartment pressure, a compartment humidity, or a location of the container.
17 . The container of claim 14 , wherein the drain sensor is threaded into the drain hole.
18 . The container of claim 14 , wherein the drain sensor further comprises a control circuitry configured to communicate with a smart device.
19 . The container of claim 14 , wherein the drain sensor is configured to be removable from the container to monitor a condition separate from the container.
