Claims

Abstract

A mobile project center system is presented that includes a center track having a pair of center supports and a pair of legs connected to the center support. A pair of benchtops are connected to the center track and move between an extended position and a retracted position. A pair of braces connect to each benchtop and provide support between the benchtop and the legs. These braces are locked and unlocked using a brace lock controlled by a brace control positioned just below the benchtops. A shelf extends between the opposing pairs of legs that transitions from a folded position and an extended position. The benchtop includes a plurality of openings in a grid pattern that facilitate attachment of various devices such as a joinery block. The system is used to perform a number of operations and converts between a plurality of configurations.

         2 . A system of connecting a container to a work surface, the system comprising:
 a container;   the container having an upper edge;   the container having a sidewall;   the container having a lip;   the lip positioned adjacent the upper edge of the container;   the lip having a flange;   wherein the flange defines a channel between the flange and the sidewall;   a work surface;
 the work surface having an edge; 
   the work surface having a recess;   wherein the recess is positioned adjacent the edge of the work surface;   wherein the recess of the work surface is adapted and configured to receive the flange of the container;   wherein when the flange of the container is placed in the recess of the work surface, the container is supported by and hangs from the edge of the work surface.   
     
     
         3 . The system of  claim 2 , further comprising wherein the channel extends an entire length of the flange. 
     
     
         4 . The system of  claim 2 , further comprising wherein the channel extends unobstructed from a first end of the flange a second end of the flange. 
     
     
         5 . The system of  claim 2 , further comprising wherein when the container hangs from the edge of the work surface, a lower surface of the lip is positioned adjacent an upper surface of a step positioned adjacent the edge of the work surface. 
     
     
         6 . The system of  claim 2 , further comprising wherein when the container hangs from the edge of the work surface, an exterior surface of the sidewall is positioned adjacent an exterior surface of the edge of the work surface. 
     
     
         7 . The system of  claim 2 , further comprising wherein when the container hangs from the edge of the work surface, the upper edge of the container is positioned below an upper surface of the work surface. 
     
     
         8 . The system of  claim 2 , further comprising wherein the container has a hollow interior for the storage of items such as screws. 
     
     
         9 . The system of  claim 2 , further comprising wherein the container includes a cover, wherein the cover is configured to engage the upper edge of the container. 
     
     
         10 . The system of  claim 2 , further comprising wherein the container includes at least one removable corner section positioned adjacent an end of the lip. 
     
     
         11 . The system of  claim 2 , further comprising wherein the container includes a first removable corner section positioned adjacent a first end of the lip, and a second removable corner section positioned adjacent a second end of the lip. 
     
     
         12 . The system of  claim 2 , further comprising wherein the edge of the work surface extends outward at an angle as it extends downward. 
     
     
         13 . The system of  claim 2 , further comprising wherein the sidewall of the container extends inward at an angle as it extends downward. 
     
     
         14 . A work surface system, the system comprising:
 a work surface;   the work surface having an upper surface;   the work surface having an edge;   the work surface having a recess;   wherein the recess is positioned adjacent the edge of the work surface;   wherein the recess of the work surface is adapted and configured to receive a flange of a container such that when the flange of the container is placed in the recess of the work surface, the container is supported by and hangs from the edge of the work surface.   
     
     
         15 . The system of  14 , further comprising;
 the container having an upper edge;   the container having a sidewall;   the container having a lip;   the lip positioned adjacent the upper edge of the container;   the lip connected to the flange;   wherein the flange defines a channel between the flange and the sidewall.   
     
     
         16 . The system of  14 , further comprising the container having a channel positioned between the flange and a sidewall of the container, wherein the channel extends an entire length of the flange. 
     
     
         17 . The system of  14 , further comprising the container having a channel positioned between the flange and a sidewall of the container, wherein the channel extends unobstructed from a first end of the flange a second end of the flange. 
     
     
         18 . The system of  14 , further comprising wherein when the container hangs from the edge of the work surface, a lower surface of a lip connected to the flange is positioned adjacent an upper surface of a step positioned adjacent the edge of the work surface. 
     
     
         19 . The system of  14 , further comprising wherein when the container hangs from the edge of the work surface, an exterior surface of a sidewall of the container is positioned adjacent an exterior surface of the edge of the work surface. 
     
     
         20 . The system of  14 , further comprising wherein when the container hangs from the edge of the work surface, an upper edge of the container is positioned below the upper surface of the work surface.

 a container;   the container having an upper edge and a sidewall;   a lip positioned adjacent the upper edge;   the lip having a flange that defines a channel between the flange and the sidewall;   a work surface;   the work surface having an edge;   the work surface having a recess;   the recess positioned adjacent the edge of the work surface;   wherein when the flange of the container is placed in the recess of the work surface, the container hangs from the edge of the work surface.   
     
     
         26 . The system of  25 , wherein the lip extends the length of the sidewall and forms a straight and uninterrupted channel.

 a work surface;   the work surface having a recess positioned adjacent an edge of the work surface;   a container;   the container having a flange;   the flange positioned adjacent an upper edge of the container;   wherein the work surface is configured to hold the container by receiving the flange of the container in the recess of the work surface.   
     
     
         31 . The system of  30 , wherein when the container is connected to the work surface, the container hangs off of the edge of the work surface. 
     
     
         32 . The system of  30 , wherein when the container is connected to the work surface, the upper end of the container is positioned slightly below an upper surface of the work surface.

 providing a work surface having a generally flat upper surface and a recess positioned in an edge of the work surface;   providing a container having an upper edge, a sidewall, a lip connected adjacent the upper edge, and a flange, wherein a channel is formed between the flange and the sidewall;   placing the flange of the container in the recess of the work surface thereby hanging the container from the work surface.   
     
     
         39 . A container system configured to be hung from an edge of a work surface, the system comprising:
 a sidewall;   a lip positioned adjacent an upper end of the sidewall;   a flange connected to the lip;   a first corner section positioned adjacent a first corner of the container at a first end of the flange and lip;   a second corner section positioned adjacent a second corner of the container at a second end of the flange and lip;   wherein the first corner section is removable;   wherein the second corner section is removable;   wherein when the first corner section and the second corner section are removed, a channel is formed between the flange and the sidewall from the first end of the flange to the second end of the flange.   
     
     
         40 . The system of  39 , further comprising a work surface having an edge and a recess positioned adjacent the edge, wherein when the flange of the container is inserted within the recess the container hangs off of the edge of the work surface.
