Abstract

A gravity-lock, height-adjustable shelving, object support and hanging system which, in a preferred embodiment, comprises:a. at least one rod for substantially vertical installation, said rod having an outer diameter D;b. at least one slider comprising a bore therethrough, said bore comprising an inner diameter slightly greater than D, such that said bore through said slider accommodates passage of said rod through said slider; andc. at least one appendage attached or attachable to said slider, wherein said appendage extends substantially horizontally away from the point proximal the point of attachment to said slider to a distal point of said appendage.Methods of making and using the apparatus, device and system according to the invention are likewise disclosed, and those skilled in the art, based on this disclosure, will appreciate that equivalents, permutations and combinations of the elements described herein to compose this invention may be made without departing from the core of the invention disclosed herein.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A gravity-lock, height-adjustable shelving, object support and hanging system.

         2 . The gravity-lock height-adjust shelving and object hanging system according to claim 1 comprising:
 a. at least one rod for substantially vertical installation, said rod having an outer diameter A;
 b. at least one slider comprising a bore therethrough, said bore comprising an inner diameter slightly greater than A, such that said bore through said slider accommodates passage of said rod through said slider; and
 c. at least one appendage attached or attachable to said slider, wherein said appendage extends substantially horizontally from the point of attachment to said slider.

         3 . The gravity-lock height-adjust shelving and object hanging system according to claim 2 wherein said appendage is selected from the group comprising a rod, a triangular support, a rectangular support, a pair of rods, a receptacle, a convex support structure.

         4 . The gravity-lock height-adjust shelving and object hanging system according to claim 1 in the form of a table, a desk, a shelving unit, and combinations thereof.

         5 . A method of making an apparatus comprising:
 a. providing at least one vertical support element having an outer diameter A; b. providing at least one support structure comprising at least one gravity-lock slider comprising a bore therethrough, said bore comprising an inner diameter slightly greater than A, such that said bore through said slider accommodates passage of said rod through said slider; and c. providing at least one appendage attached or attachable to said slider, wherein said appendage extends substantially horizontally from the point of attachment to said slider.

         6 . A kit comprising:
 a. at least one vertical support element having an outer diameter A; b. at least one support structure comprising at least one gravity-lock slider comprising a bore therethrough, said bore comprising an inner diameter slightly greater than A, such that said bore through said slider accommodates passage of said rod through said slider; and c. at least one appendage attached or attachable to said slider, wherein said appendage extends substantially horizontally from the point of attachment to said slider.
