Abstract
An attachment system allowing for holding eyewear in three dimensions, using at least one strap positioned for securing said eyewear in the vertical or y-axis, while left-to-right orientation in the x-axis and front-to-back orientation in the z-axis are defined by two straps, one at each temple arm.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A protection system comprising: a protective headgear, an attachable protective eye wear apparatus, and at least one securing strap between said protective headgear and said attachable protective eye wear apparatus;
whereas said headgear comprising a front, rear, left, and right portions, an inner and outer surface; and, said attachable eye wear apparatus comprising a frame, protective bars or clear protective lens, a left portion and a right portion, and at least one top bar mount connecting at the top of said frame, said protective headgear comprises at least one support anchor disposed adjacent to the inner surface of the front portion of the headgear and at least one strap anchor disposed on the left and right side of the headgear, said at least one securing strap secured between said top bar mount and said at least one support anchor disposed adjacent to the inner surface of the front portion of the headgear, and, a left and right strap, wherein a left strap securing the left side of the attachable eyewear apparatus to the left side of the helmet and a right strap securing the right side of the attachable eyewear apparatus to the right side of the helmet.
2 . The protection system of claim 1 , wherein said attachable eye wear apparatus comprises a left and a right arm, wherein said left and right arms comprise at least one-opening disposed of at a distal end of said arms for securing to said left strap and said right strap.
3 . The protection system of claim 2 , wherein the left and right arms comprise a plurality of openings at the distal end aligned along the length of the arm from the distal end towards the proximal end, and wherein the adjustable nature fore and aft in relation to said protective headgear is modified by election of one of the plurality of openings.
4 . The protection system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one securing strap provides securement of the attachable protective eye wear apparatus in at least a first direction, and wherein the left strap and the right strap provide securement of the attachable protective eye wear apparatus in at least a second direction.
5 . The protection system of claim 4 , wherein the attachable protective eye wear apparatus enables movement and orientation of the protective eye wear apparatus in the x, y, and z planes in relation to the protective headgear, by modifying the lengths of the at least one securing strap or of the left or right straps.
6 . The protection system of claim 2 , wherein the at least one securing strap is more flexible than the arms of the attachable protective eye wear apparatus.
7 . The protection system of claim 2 , wherein said left arm and said right arm are hingeably attached to the frame.
8 . The protection system of claim 1 , wherein said protective eye wear apparatus is adjustably attached to protective headgear.
9 . The protection system of claim 2 , comprising an anchor disposed on the left side and right side of the headgear, said left strap and said right strap being adjustable fore and aft in relation to said protective headgear.
10 . A facial and head protection system comprising a protective headgear and an attachable eyewear apparatus; said protective headgear comprising an inner and outer surface; said headgear having a rear portion, a front facing portion, and a left and right side portion, said headgear configured for covering a portion of a user's head; said front facing portion comprising at least one forehead mount providing a mount accessible on the inner surface of the front facing portion; and comprising a-at least a first and second latch component accessible on the inner surface of the left and right side portions of the headgear, wherein said first latch component is accessible on the left side portion and said second latch component is accessible on the right side portion; said eyewear apparatus comprising a frame comprising a top bar, a right rim, a left rim, and a bridge connecting the same, connected to the frame is a hinge point, positioned at the outer edge of each of the right rim and left rim; said top bar comprising at least one-top bar mount; wherein said top bar mount-and said forehead mount are configured to secure therebetween with a connection length; and wherein said at least first and second latch-components are configured to secure therebetween.
11 . The facial and head protection system of claim 10 , wherein attached to each hinge point is an arm, each of said arms comprising at least one opening at a distal end of said arms.
12 . The facial and head protection system of claim 10 , wherein the at least first and second latch components are a first and second pin, and wherein said connection between the at least one opening disposed of on each arm and the pin disposed of on the left and right side of the helmet comprises said pin engaging with the at least one opening.
13 . The facial and head protection system of claim 12 , wherein the arms of the eyewear apparatus are more rigid than the connection length securing said top bar mount and said forehead mount.
14 . The facial and head protection system of claim 10 , wherein the attachable eyewear apparatus can be adjusted in an x, y, and z coordinates to optimize fit of the eyewear apparatus.
15 . The facial and head protection system of claim 10 , wherein the connection length is selected from the group consisting of a strap, hook-and-loop material, a string, or combinations thereof.
16 . The facial and head protection system of claim 10 , wherein the attachable eyewear apparatus can be oriented at a different orientation in an x, y, and z coordinate, based upon the first and second connection means of the top bar mount and the forehead mount and the arms to the headgear.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
