Abstract
The following describes an assembly for a ski strap. The assembly comprises a first portion comprising a first outer block, a first inner tab extending from the first outer block, a first retaining mechanism for a strap. The assembly also comprises a second portion comprising a second outer block, a second inner tab extending from the second outer block, and a second retaining mechanism for the strap. A ski strap assembly is also provided that comprises a ski strap and the assembly.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . (canceled)
. A hanging device for a ski strap assembly, the hanging device comprising:
a platform extending from a body for supporting an assembly for a ski strap, the platform comprising a pin extending upwardly therefrom and positioned to be in alignment with a void on at least one of first and second portions of the assembly to have the assembly rest on the platform to hang the pair of skis.
. The hanging device of claim 2 , wherein the body comprises at least one passage to permit the hanging device to be secured to a surface.
. The hanging device of claim 2 , wherein the body further comprises a pair of locating wings that slope inwardly towards a landing channel.
. The hanging device of claim 4 , wherein at least one of the wings or landing channel comprise arrow indicia to guide placement of the assembly for the ski strap on the platform.
. The hanging device of claim 2 , further comprising a bumper to be placed in spaced relationship with the body to maintain a substantially upright positioning of the skis when hung on the hanging device.
. The hanging device of claim 6 , wherein the bumper comprises a passage through which a cord of a lock can be passed.
. The hanging device of claim 4 , wherein the platform comprises an offset arm to position the pin off center with respect to the landing channel.
. The hanging device of claim 2 , wherein the pin is positioned on the platform at a distance that is sufficient to enable rotation of the skis relative to the hanging device when the ski strap is hung on the platform.
. The hanging device of claim 4 , wherein the body comprises bevels aligned with the locating wings to encourage alignment of the pin with the void on the assembly.
. The hanging device of claim 2 , wherein the tip is pointed to minimize contact with the assembly.
. The hanging device of claim 2 , wherein an overall depth of the hanging device is chosen to have the skis offset from a surface to which the hanging device is attached to provide a gap between the skis and the surface when the skis are hung on the hanging device.
. A ski hanging rack comprising a plurality of hanging devices, each hanging device comprising: a platform extending from a body for supporting an assembly for a ski strap, the platform comprising a pin extending upwardly therefrom and positioned to be in alignment with a void on at least one of first and second portions of the assembly to have the assembly rest on the platform to hang the pair of skis.
. The ski hanging rack of claim 13 , wherein the body comprises at least one passage to permit the hanging device to be secured to a surface.
. The ski hanging rack of claim 13 , wherein the body further comprises a pair of locating wings that slope inwardly towards a landing channel.
. The ski hanging rack of claim 15 , wherein at least one of the wings or landing channel comprise arrow indicia to guide placement of the assembly for the ski strap on the platform.
. The ski hanging rack of claim 13 , further comprising a bumper to be placed in spaced relationship with the body to maintain a substantially upright positioning of the skis when hung on the hanging device.
. The ski hanging rack of claim 15 , wherein the platform comprises an offset arm to position the pin off center with respect to the landing channel.
. The ski hanging rack of claim 18 , wherein the pin is positioned on the platform at a distance that is sufficient to enable rotation of the skis relative to the hanging device when the ski strap is hung on the platform.
. The ski hanging rack of claim 15 , wherein the body comprises bevels aligned with the locating wings to encourage alignment of the pin with the void on the assembly.
. The ski hanging rack of claim 13 , wherein an overall depth of the hanging device is chosen to have the skis offset from a surface to which the hanging device is attached to provide a gap between the skis and the surface when the skis are hung on the hanging device.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
