Magnetic hair extensions
Abstract
A magnetic hair extension apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus can use a magnet, which enables the apparatus to be conveniently applied and removed from the hair of a user. The apparatus includes a first portion having a magnet and a hair weft, and a second portion having magnetic material and a hair weft. To wear, the second portion is placed over the first portion with the hair of the user sandwiched between the first portion and the second portion. The magnet is attracted to the magnetic material and thus, can securely attach the apparatus to the hair of the user. A combination of these materials results in an easy to use, easy to remove, easy to transport, and harmless hair extension apparatus.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWe claim:
1 . A hair extension apparatus, comprising:
a first component, the first component comprised of a first magnoelastic material; and a second component, the second component comprised of a second magnoelastic material and a hair weft; wherein an end of the hair weft is incorporated into the second magnoelastic material; and wherein the first magnoelastic material is attracted to the second magnoelastic material.
2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first component further comprises:
a first component hair weft.
3 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first magnoelastic material and the second magnoelastic material are comprised of a malleable polymer material and magnetic particles.
4 . The apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the malleable polymer material comprises polyurethane.
5 . The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the magnetic particles comprise neodymium iron boron particles.
6 . The apparatus of claim 5 , wherein the neodymium iron boron particles are a powder.
7 . The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the magnetic particles further comprise iron oxide.
8 . The apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the first magnoelastic material and the second magnoelastic material are formed by injection molding.
9 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first magnoelastic material and the second magnoelastic material are malleable when heated and rigid when cooled.
10 . A hair extension apparatus, comprising:
a first component, the first component comprised of a ferromagnetic metal; and a second component, the second component comprised of a magnoelastic material and a hair weft; wherein an end of the hair weft is incorporated into the magnoelastic material; and wherein the ferromagnetic material is attracted to the magnoelastic material.
11 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the magnoelastic material is comprised of a malleable polymer material and magnetic particles.
12 . The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the malleable polymer material comprises polyurethane.
13 . The apparatus of claim 12 , wherein the magnetic particles comprise neodymium iron boron particles.
14 . The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the neodymium iron boron particles are a powder.
15 . The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the magnoelastic material and is formed by injection molding.
16 . A method for attaching a hair extension to user hair, the method comprising:
sectioning, a portion of the user hair; placing a first component below the portion of the user hair; and placing a second component opposite the first component, the portion of the user hair disposed between the first component and the second component; wherein the first component and the second component are magnetically attracted.
17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the first component comprises a first magnoelastic material; wherein the second component comprises a second magnoelastic material and a hair weft; and wherein an end of the hair weft is incorporated into the second magnoelastic material.
18 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the first magnoelastic material and the second magnoelastic material are comprised of a malleable polymer material and magnetic particles.
19 . The apparatus of claim 18 , wherein the malleable polymer material comprises polyurethane.
20 . The apparatus of claim 18 , wherein the magnetic particles comprise neodymium iron boron particles.
21 . The apparatus of claim 17 , wherein the first magnoelastic material and the second magnoelastic material are formed by injection molding.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
