Method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving data by using plurality of carriers in mobile communication systems
Abstract
The method for transmitting and receiving data at a base station in a wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of receiving a performance report from a terminal, determining whether the addition of a serving cell is necessary, when the addition of the serving cell is necessary, transmitting a request for receiving a cell identifying signal to one or more other base stations on the basis of the received performance repoitand transmitting a request for transmitting the cell identifying signal to the terminal. According to the embodiment, in a network in which a small cell and a macro cell are overlapped and operated, the terminal can minimize battery consumption and quickly recognize the small cell.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method performed by a base station in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
receiving, from a terminal, a capability related message including first information indicating that the terminal supports a continuation for a robust header compression (ROHC) context; determining whether the ROHC context for a bearer among a plurality of bearers associated with the terminal is continued based on the first information; and transmitting, to the terminal, a radio resource control (RRC) message including second information indicating that the ROHC context for the bearer is continued, in case that the ROHC context for the bearer is continued.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein third information indicating a full configuration is not included in the RRC message, in case that the ROHC context for the bearer is continued.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the second information is not included in the RRC message, in case that the ROHC context for the bearer is not continued.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the ROHC context for the bearer is reset, in case that the ROHC context for the bearer is not continued.
5 . The method of claim 4 , further comprising:
transmitting, to the terminal, an initialization and refresh (IR) packet, in case that the ROHC context for the bearer is not continued.
6 . A method performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
transmitting, to a base station, a capability related message including first information indicating that the terminal supports a continuation for a robust header compression (ROHC) context; receiving, from the base station, a radio resource control (RRC) message associated with a configuration; identifying whether the RRC message includes second information indicating that the ROHC context for a bearer among a plurality of bearers associated with the terminal; and continuing the ROHC context for the bearer, in case that the RRC message includes the second information.
7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein third information indicating a full configuration is not included in the RRC message, in case that the RRC message includes the second information.
8 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the ROHC context for the bearer is not continued, in case that the RRC message does not include the second information.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the ROHC context for the bearer is reset, in case that the RRC message does not include the second information.
10 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:
receiving, from the base station, an initialization and refresh (IR) packet, in case that the RRC message does not include the second information.
11 . A base station in a wireless communication system, the base station comprising:
a transceiver; and a controller configured to:
receive, from a terminal via the transceiver, a capability related message including first information indicating that the terminal supports a continuation for a robust header compression (ROHC) context,
determine whether the ROHC context for a bearer among a plurality of bearers associated with the terminal is continued based on the first information, and
transmit, to the terminal via the transceiver, a radio resource control (RRC) message including second information indicating that the ROHC context for the bearer is continued, in case that the ROHC context for the bearer is continued.
12 . The base station of claim 11 , wherein third information indicating a full configuration is not included in the RRC message, in case that the ROHC context for the bearer is continued.
13 . The base station of claim 11 , wherein the second information is not included in the RRC message, in case that the ROHC context for the bearer is not continued.
14 . The base station of claim 13 , wherein the ROHC context for the bearer is reset, in case that the ROHC context for the bearer is not continued.
15 . The base station of claim 14 , wherein the controller is further configured to transmit, to the terminal via the transceiver, an initialization and refresh (IR) packet, in case that the ROHC context for the bearer is not continued.
16 . A terminal in a wireless communication system, the terminal comprising:
a transceiver; and a controller configured to:
transmit, to a base station via the transceiver, a capability related message including first information indicating that the terminal supports a continuation for a robust header compression (ROHC) context,
receive, from the base station via the transceiver, a radio resource control (RRC) message associated with a configuration,
identify whether the RRC message includes second information indicating that the ROHC context for a bearer among a plurality of bearers associated with the terminal, and
continue the ROHC context for the bearer, in case that the RRC message includes the second information.
17 . The terminal of claim 16 , wherein third information indicating a full configuration is not included in the RRC message, in case that the RRC message includes the second information.
18 . The terminal of claim 16 , wherein the ROHC context for the bearer is not continued, in case that the RRC message does not include the second information.
19 . The terminal of claim 18 , wherein the ROHC context for the bearer is reset, in case that the RRC message does not include the second information.
20 . The terminal of claim 19 , wherein the controller is further configured to receive, from the base station via the transceiver, an initialization and refresh (IR) packet, in case that the RRC message does not include the second information.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
