Portable Training Studio

Abstract

A portable training studio is disclosed. The portable training studio includes an expandable structure that is reconfigurable between a transport configuration and a use configuration. The expandable structure includes: a frame; a first door that is pivotably connected to the frame such that the first door is movable between an open position and a closed position; and a first deck that is pivotably connected to the frame such that the first deck is movable between an open position and a closed position.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A portable training studio, comprising:
 an expandable structure reconfigurable between a transport configuration and a use configuration, the expandable structure comprising:
 a frame; 
 a deck pivotably connected to the frame such that the deck is movable between an open position and a closed position to thereby enlarge a training area defined by the expandable structure; 
 a control mechanism connected to the deck to facilitate movement of the deck between the open position and the closed position; and 
 a plurality of footings configured to support the deck in the open position, the plurality of footings being spaced axially from each other along a longitudinal axis defined by the expandable structure. 
   
     
     
         2 . The portable training studio of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one footing is configured for removable connection to the deck. 
     
     
         3 . The portable training studio of  claim 1 , wherein the expandable structure further includes at least one removable wall to at least partially enclose the training area. 
     
     
         4 . The portable training studio of  claim 3 , wherein the expandable structure further includes a covering extending above the training area such that the at least one removable wall is positioned between the deck and the covering. 
     
     
         5 . The portable training studio of  claim 4 , wherein the at least one removable wall includes a material allowing light to pass therethrough. 
     
     
         6 . A portable training studio, comprising:
 an expandable structure reconfigurable between a transport configuration and a use configuration, the expandable structure comprising:
 a frame; and 
 a first deck pivotably connected to the frame such that the first deck is movable between an open position and a closed position to thereby enlarge a training area defined by the expandable structure. 
   
     
     
         7 . The portable training studio of  claim 6 , wherein the expandable structure further includes a first control mechanism connected to the first deck to facilitate movement of the first deck between the open position and the closed position. 
     
     
         8 . The portable training studio of  claim 7 , wherein the expandable structure further includes at least one footing configured to support the first deck in the open position. 
     
     
         9 . The portable training studio of  claim 8 , wherein the at least one footing is configured for removable connection to the first deck. 
     
     
         10 . The portable training studio of  claim 6 , wherein the expandable structure further includes a wall fixedly connected to the frame opposite to the first deck. 
     
     
         11 . The portable training studio of  claim 6 , wherein the expandable structure further includes a second deck positioned opposite to the first deck, the second deck being pivotably connected to the frame such that the second deck is movable between an open position and a closed position. 
     
     
         12 . The portable training studio of  claim 11 , wherein the first deck is configured for movement in a first direction and the second deck is configured for movement in a second direction opposite to the first direction. 
     
     
         13 . The portable training studio of  claim 12 , wherein the second deck is generally identical to the first deck. 
     
     
         14 . The portable training studio of  claim 12 , wherein the expandable structure further includes:
 a first control mechanism connected to the first deck to facilitate movement of the first deck between the open position and the closed position; and   a second control mechanism connected to the second deck to facilitate movement of the second deck between the open position and the closed position.   
     
     
         15 . The portable training studio of  claim 14 , wherein the expandable structure further includes a first plurality of footings configured to support the first deck in the open position and a second plurality of footings configured to support the second deck in the open position. 
     
     
         16 . The portable training studio of  claim 15 , wherein the first plurality of footings are configured for removable connection to the first deck and the second plurality of footings are configured for removable connection to the second deck. 
     
     
         17 . A portable training studio, comprising:
 an expandable structure reconfigurable between a transport configuration and a use configuration to enlarge a training area defined by the expandable structure, the expandable structure comprising:
 a frame; 
 a deck pivotably connected to the frame such that the deck is movable between an open position and a closed position to thereby enlarge the training area defined by the expandable structure; 
 a plurality of footings configured to support the deck in the open position; 
 at least one removable wall configured for connection to the deck to at least partially enclose the training area, the at least one removable wall including a material allowing light to pass therethrough; and 
 a covering extending above the training area such that the at least one removable wall is positioned between the deck and the covering. 
   
     
     
         18 . The portable training studio of  claim 17 , further including a control mechanism connected to the deck to facilitate movement of the deck between the open position and the closed position. 
     
     
         19 . The portable training studio of  claim 18 , wherein the control mechanism is supported on the frame. 
     
     
         20 . The portable training studio of  claim 18 , further including one or more leads extending between the deck and the control mechanism to facilitate movement of the deck between the open position and the closed position.
