Abstract

Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to a nestable beverage can comprising a voluminous body defined by a top portion, a bottom portion and a sidewall, the top portion comprising a single opening into the voluminous body; a pull tab and semi-weakened surface covering the single opening, wherein the semi-weakened surface covering the opening remains attached to the top portion in an open position; a connection member positioned at the top of the can for connecting the can to an additional can; and a receiving ring shaped to couple with the connection member, the receiving ring shaped to attach to the base of the can.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A nestable beverage can comprising:
 a voluminous body defined by a top portion, a bottom portion and a sidewall, the top portion comprising a single opening into the voluminous body;   a pull tab and semi-weakened surface covering the single opening, wherein the semi-weakened surface covering the opening remains attached to the top portion in an open position;   a connection member positioned at the top of the can for connecting the can to an additional can; and   a receiving ring shaped to couple with the connection member, the receiving ring shaped to attach to the base of the can.   
     
     
         2 . The nestable beverage can of  claim 1 , wherein the receiving ring is attached to the base of the can with an adhesive. 
     
     
         3 . The nestable beverage can of  claim 1 , wherein the receiving ring is friction-fit to the base of the can. 
     
     
         4 . The nestable beverage can of  claim 1 , wherein the receiving ring comprises a threaded portion. 
     
     
         5 . The nestable beverage can of  claim 1 , wherein the receiving ring comprises recesses for receiving tabs for connecting ton an additional can.
