Abstract
A microenvironment of a biological body is controlled, and more particularly, is measured, changed, and monitored with respect to temperature, pH level, moisture and other tissue parameters of a region of the body while, optionally, administering a therapeutic agent to that region.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 19 . (canceled)
20 . A system for delivering energy to a body tissue, the system comprising:
a surface mounted device having a three dimensional external mounting system positionable on a body surface, wherein the external mounting system is configured to conform to the body surface; multiple energy delivering devices configured to deliver energy to a body surface and positioned throughout the surface mounted device; at least one sensor positioned within the surface mounted device; and a controller communicatively coupled to the surface mounted device, wherein the sensor is configured to send a signal to the controller, and the controller is configured to control the energy delivering devices based on the signal from the sensor, and wherein the three dimensional mounting system is configured to stabilize the energy delivering devices for a period of time while the energy delivering devices deliver energy to increase the rate of blood flow in a body tissue at the body surface.
21 . The system of claim 20 , wherein the body tissue comprises at least one of nerve, brain, and skin tissue.
22 . The system of claim 20 , wherein the at least one sensor comprises at least one of a temperature sensor, a pH sensor, a moisture sensor, an oxygen sensor, and a carbon dioxide sensor.
23 . The system of claim 20 , wherein the energy delivering devices comprises at least one of resistive heat, infrared heat, radiofrequency heat, microwave heat, ultrasound, vibratory energy, magnetic energy, laser energy, light energy, and electric current.
24 . The system of claim 23 , wherein the energy delivering devices are configured to increase the temperature of the body tissue at the body surface.
25 . The system of claim 20 , wherein the controller is remote from the surface mounted device.
26 . The system of claim 20 , wherein the energy delivering devices comprise cooling units configured to decrease the rate of blood flow in the body portion of the user.
27 . The system of claim 20 , wherein the body surface of the user comprises at least one of a head and a neck of the user.
28 . The system of claim 20 , wherein the surface mounted device comprises at least one of a cap, hat, scarf, garment and U-shaped device.
29 . The system of claim 20 , wherein the system is configured to treat at least one of dementia, Alzheimer's disease, hyperactivity, seizure, sleep disorders, hypothermia, arthritis, pain, infection, and enhancing tissue healing.
30 . The system of claim 20 , wherein the system is configured to be operated by a user.
31 . A system for delivering energy to a body tissue, the system comprising:
a surface mounted device having a three dimensional external mounting system positionable on a body surface, wherein the external mounting system is configured to conform to the body surface; multiple energy delivering devices configured to deliver energy to a body surface and positioned throughout the surface mounted device; at least one sensor positioned within the surface mounted device; and a controller communicatively coupled to the surface mounted device, wherein the sensor is configured send a signal to the controller, and the controller is configured to control the energy delivering devices based on the signal from the sensor, and wherein the three dimensional mounting system is configured to stabilize the energy delivering devices for a period of time while the energy delivering devices deliver energy to body tissue at the body surface.
32 . The system of claim 31 , wherein the body tissue comprises at least one of nerve, brain, and skin tissue.
33 . The system of claim 31 , wherein the at least one sensor comprises at least one of a temperature sensor, pH sensor, moisture sensor, oxygen sensor, and a carbon dioxide sensor.
34 . The system of claim 31 , wherein the energy delivering devices comprises at least one of resistive heat, infrared heat, radiofrequency heat, microwave heat, ultrasound, vibratory energy, magnetic energy, laser energy, light energy, and electric current.
35 . The system of claim 34 , wherein the energy delivered by the energy delivering devices is configured to at least one of increase the temperature of the body tissue at the body surface and increase the rate of blood flow in the body tissue at the body surface.
36 . The system of claim 31 , wherein the controller is remote from the surface mounted device.
37 . The system of claim 31 , wherein the surface mounted device comprises at least one of a cap, hat, scarf, glove, body suit, garment, and U-shaped device.
38 . The system of claim 31 , wherein the system is configured to treat at least one of dementia, Alzheimer's disease, hyperactivity, seizure, sleep disorders, hypothermia, arthritis, pain, infection, and enhancing tissue healing.
39 . The system of claim 31 , wherein the system is configured to be operated by a user.
40 . A system for delivering energy to a body tissue, the system comprising:
a surface mounted device having a three dimensional external mounting system positionable on and configured to circumferentially conform to a head of a user; multiple energy delivering devices positioned in the surface mounted device, configured to deliver electrical energy, and configured to contact specific portions of the head of the user; at least one sensor positioned within the surface mounted device configured to sense at least one body parameter of the user; and a control unit communicatively coupled to the surface mounted device and configured to control the energy delivering devices, wherein the energy delivering devices are configured to provide electrical stimulation to the specific portions of the head of the user in contact with the emitters.
