Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

. A pharmaceutical composition to treat immune disorder and inflammation in mammals, the composition comprising:
zinc salt comprising zinc cation and anion; purified cyclic histidyl-proline (CHP); and a pharmaceutically-acceptable excipient.

. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the zinc salt comprises zinc chloride.

. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the zinc salt comprises zinc oxide.

. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 1 , wherein the zinc salt comprises zinc carbonate.

. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a capsule that comprises:
a zinc chelating agent; cyclic histidyl-proline (CHP); and one or more excipients.

. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 5 , wherein the capsule is a hard gel capsule.

. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 5 , wherein the capsule is a soft gel capsule.

. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 5 , wherein each capsule comprises 10-150 mg of zinc.

. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 8 , wherein each capsules comprises 10-100 mg of zinc, depending on an age, gender, and physiological condition of a patient.

. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 5 , wherein each capsule comprises 3-50 mg of CHP.

. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 10 , wherein each capsule comprises 3-30 mg of CHP, depending on an age, gender, and physiological condition of a patient.

. A method of treating a disease of a patient, the method comprising administering cyclic histidyl-proline plus zinc (Cyclo-Z) to the patient.

. The method of claim 12 , wherein the Cyclo-Z is orally administered to the patient.

. The method of claim 13 , wherein the Cyclo-Z is orally administered to the patient via a capsule.

. The method of claim 14 , wherein the capsule is taken 1-4 times per day.

. The method of claim 15 , wherein the capsule is taken once between waking up and breakfast, once between breakfast and lunch, once between lunch and dinner, and once between dinner and bedtime.

. The method of claim 14 , wherein the capsule is taken 2 times per day.

. The method of claim 17 , wherein the capsule is taken once between waking up and breakfast and once between breakfast and dinner or bedtime.

. The method of claim 14 , wherein the capsule is taken once per day at bedtime.

. The method of claim 12 , wherein the Cyclo-Z comprises 5 mg/L of cyclic histidyl-proline and 20 mg/L of zinc.

. The method of claim 12 , wherein the disease is an immune-disorder or inflammatory disease.

. The method of claim 21 , wherein the disease is a cold.

. The method of claim 21 , wherein the disease is influenza.

. The method of claim 21 , wherein the disease is a bacterial infection.

. The method of claim 21 , wherein the disease is an allergy.

. The method of claim 21 , wherein the disease is type-one diabetes.

. The method of claim 21 , wherein the disease is type-two diabetes.

. The method of claim 12 , wherein the Cyclo-Z is administered to the patient 1-4 times per day.
