Abstract

A method and apparatus for a service platform capable of providing device-based task completion is disclosed. A request for a task is received at a service platform from a customer. A worker device to complete the task is selected from a group of worker devices registered with the service platform based on a current attribute of the worker device. Data resulting from completion of the task is received from the selected worker device, validated, and presented to the customer. A reward or incentive can be provided to the worker device in response to the data being received from the worker device and validated.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A method, comprising:
in response to a request from a user device to perform a task, selecting, by a server comprising a processor, a worker device from a group of worker devices to complete the task based on a current attribute of the worker device satisfying a requirement; and transmitting, by the server, a message to the worker device that initiates performance of the task by the worker device.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the current attribute of the worker device satisfying the requirement comprises a current battery level of the worker device satisfying a threshold level.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the current attribute of the worker device satisfying the requirement comprises a sensor capability of the worker device satisfying a sensor requirement.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the current attribute of the worker device satisfying the requirement comprises a current location of the worker device being within a defined proximity to a specific location.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the current attribute of the worker device satisfying the requirement comprises a network latency of the worker device satisfying a latency requirement.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the current attribute of the worker device satisfying the requirement comprises a reliability score of past results of the worker device satisfying a reliability requirement.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the current attribute of the worker device satisfying the requirement comprises a quantity of task completed by the worker device satisfying a quantity requirement.

         8 . A system, comprising:
a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
in response to a request from a mobile device to perform a task, selecting a worker device from a group of worker devices to complete the task based on a current attribute of the worker device satisfying a requirement; and
transmitting a message to the worker device that controls performance of the task by the worker device.

9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the current attribute of the worker device satisfying the requirement comprises a current battery level of the worker device satisfying a threshold level.

10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the current attribute of the worker device satisfying the requirement comprises a sensor capability of the worker device satisfying a sensor requirement.

11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the current attribute of the worker device satisfying the requirement comprises a current location of the worker device being within a defined proximity to a specific location.

12 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the current attribute of the worker device satisfying the requirement comprises a network latency of the worker device satisfying a latency requirement.

13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the current attribute of the worker device satisfying the requirement comprises a reliability score of past results of the worker device satisfying a reliability requirement.

14 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the current attribute of the worker device satisfying the requirement comprises a quantity of task completed by the worker device satisfying a quantity requirement.

15 . A non-transitory machine-readable medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a processor of a network device, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
in response to a request from a user device to perform a task, selecting at least one worker device from a group of worker devices to complete the task based on a respective current attribute of the at least one worker device satisfying a requirement; and transmitting a message to the at least one worker device that schedules performance of the task by the at least one worker device.

16 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the respective current attribute of the at least one worker device satisfying the requirement comprises a respective current battery level of the at least one worker device satisfying a threshold level.

17 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the respective current attribute of the at least one worker device satisfying the requirement comprises a respective sensor capability of the at least one worker device satisfying a sensor requirement.

18 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the respective current attribute of the at least one worker device satisfying the requirement comprises a respective current location of the at least one worker device being within a defined proximity to a specific location.

19 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the respective current attribute of the at least one worker device satisfying the requirement comprises a respective network latency of the at least one worker device satisfying a latency requirement.

20 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the respective current attribute of the at least one worker device satisfying the requirement comprises a respective reliability score of past results of the at least one worker device satisfying a reliability requirement.
