Abstract

This invention, the Anchor Bolt Setter mechanism assembly, is designed to attach to various different types of pre-erected foundation forms in order to properly set anchor bolts to code specifications before the concrete is poured. The Anchor Bolt Setter (“ABS”) is robust and strong in order to withstand the force of pouring concrete. The ABS consists of different styles of ABS Sliders to correspond with the different styles of foundation forms along with an ABS Elbow to accommodate when the concrete is not poured to the top of any foundation concrete forms, and it includes different styles of ABS Bolt Caps that correspond with the different sizes of anchor bolts. The suspending of an anchor bolt before concrete is poured is achieved by the Anchor Bolt Setter mechanism assembly. An anchor bolt is threaded into one of the corresponding ABS Bolt Caps, and then one of the ABS Sliders or the ABS Elbow is mounted to a concrete foundation form and then the Bolt Cap is locked onto any of the ABS Sliders or the ABS Elbow which properly sets and suspends the anchor bolt holding it from moving during the pouring of concrete. This practice properly sets anchor bolts for concrete foundations and eliminates the practice of wet setting anchor bolts.

The invention claimed is: 
     
         1 . This invention of the Anchor Bolt Setter system assembly consists of the embodiments for setting anchor bolts before concrete is poured, these embodiments in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows of their respective parts;
 a. The ABS Anchor Bolt Cap (“Cap”) This Cap comprises of a tapered tubular part designed to hold an anchor bolt that would be inserted into the cavity of the Cap. The anchor bolt is threaded into the upper threads of the Cap and stops upon its self created compression. This compression keeps the anchor bolt from turning while the concrete is being poured. There are various sizes of Caps matching the various sizes of threaded anchor bolts. Each of the Caps also are comprised of a specially designed circular tubular protrusion found on the bottom of the Caps which is designed to be inserted to the holes of any of the ABS Sliders and ABS Elbow. Also each Cap has traps described as two square open orifices that set close to the bottom side and on the opposite end of each other, there are also identify markings of measurements found on the sides of these orifices, these orifices are for the prongs found on the said Sliders and Elbow which plug and lock into the orifices.   b. The ABS Steel Slider (“Steel Slider”). This Steel Slider generally comprises of a elongate flat planar segment, the bottom side is flat, it has several specifically designed angles at one end of it so that these angles can wrap around a industry standard steel foundation form. The bottom protruding angle is designed so that it can be nailed down against the said foundation form. The Steel Slider is also designed with a hole at the opposite end of the angles, there are also two prongs protruding upward sitting on the outside sides of the said hole. The Steel Slider is designed in this manner so that the Cap can lock into the Steel Slider, this is done by placing the bottom round extrusion of the Cap into the hole of the Steel Slider making sure that the prongs plug into the square orifices of the Cap. Before locking the Cap into the Steel Slider an anchor blot is threaded into the Cap. Once the Steel Slider is properly secured onto the foundation form, and the Cap is plugged and locked onto the Steel Slider, this constitutes that the anchor bolt is suspended and properly locked into its proper position and is ready for the concrete to be poured.   c. The ABS Wood Slider (“Wood Slider”). This Wood Slider generally comprises of a elongate flat planar segment, the bottom side is flat, it has several specifically designed angles at one end of it so that these angles can wrap around a industry standard wood foundation form. The Wood Slider is designed so that it can be nailed down anywhere needed. The Wood Slider is also designed with a hole at the opposite end of the angles, there are also two prongs protruding upward sitting on the outside sides of the said hole. The Wood Slider is designed in this manner so that the Cap can lock into the Wood Slider, this is done by placing the bottom round extrusion of the Cap into the hole of the Wood Slider making sure that the prongs plug into the square orifices of the Cap. Before locking the Cap into the Wood Slider an anchor blot is threaded into the Cap. Once the Wood Slider is properly secured onto the foundation form, and the Cap is plugged and locked onto the Wood Slider, this constitutes that the anchor bolt is suspended and properly locked into its proper position and is ready for the concrete to be poured.   d. The ABS Custom Slider (“Custom Slider”). The Custom Slider generally comprises of a elongate planar segment of which the bottom side is flat, it is made to sit onto the top of the custom wood foundation form and allows for it to be nailed down where needed. The Custom Slider is also designed with a hole at one end, on the sides of the hole there are also two prongs protruding upward sitting on the outside sides of the said hole. The Custom Slider is designed in this manner so that the Cap can lock into the Custom Slider, this is done by placing the bottom round extrusion of the Cap into the hole of the Wood Slider making sure that the prongs plug into the square orifices of the Cap. Before locking the Cap into the Custom Slider an anchor bolt is threaded into the Cap. Once the Custom Slider is properly secured onto the foundation form, and the Cap is plugged and locked onto the Custom Slider, this constitutes that the anchor bolt is suspended and properly locked into its proper position and is ready for the concrete to be poured.   e. The ABS Elbow (“Elbow”). This Elbow comprises of a elongate planar segment of which the bottom side is flat, it has a flat planar segment protruding upwards. The upwards flat planar is wide and thin and flat on both sides and sits up against the side of any foundation form where it is nailed down so that it attaches against the foundation form at a previously designated spot. The bottom “L” shape of the planar segment has a hole designed at the end, there are also two prongs protruding upward on the outside sides of the said hole. A Cap is installed onto the Elbow by placing the bottom round extrusion of the Cap into the hole of the Custom Slider making sure that the prongs plug into the square orifices of the Cap. Before locking the Cap into the Elbow an anchor blot is threaded into the Cap. Once the Custom Slider is properly secured onto the inside wall of the foundation form, and the Cap is plugged and locked onto the Elbow, this constitutes that the anchor bolt is suspended and properly locked into its proper position and is ready for the concrete to be poured.   
     
     
         2 . This invention of the Anchor Bolt Setter system assembly according to  claim 1  further comprises a color coded system so that a certain colored Cap represents the dimensional increment of the threaded shank of a anchor bolt. 
     
     
         3 . This invention of the Anchor Bolt Setter system assembly according to  claim 1  further comprises the technique in that any of the said Sliders, and Elbow can be modified to fit any kind of concrete foundation forms.
