Abstract
The present invention relates to a kit for stabilizing an implanted device. The kit komprises a composition for stabilizing an implanted device, and a syringe for introducing the composition into an implanted device. The composition is a composition comprising a solidifying fluid, an initiator adapted to exert influence on a solidifying fluid, and a mixture of a solidifying fluid and an initiator.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 .- 46 . (canceled)
. A kit for stabilizing an implanted device comprising
a composition for stabilizing an implanted device, wherein said composition is a composition comprising a solidifying fluid, an initiator adapted to exert influence on a solidifying fluid, and a mixture of a solidifying fluid and an initiator, and a syringe for introducing the composition into an implanted device.
. The kit according to claim 47 , wherein the syringe includes a first compartment for a first component of the sterile composition, and a second compartment for a second component of the sterile composition, and a mixing chamber into which the first component and the second component can be introduced and mixed, before introduction into the implanted device.
. The kit according to claim 47 , wherein the kit further comprising a temperature controller for adjusting the temperature of at least one of the components to a predetermined value, and/or for maintaining the temperature of at least one of the components at a predetermined value, when the at least one component is positioned in the syringe.
. The kit according to claim 47 , wherein the syringe comprises a needle adapted to be introduced into an injection port arranged in fluid connection with the implanted device.
. The kit according to claim 47 , wherein said solidifying fluid comprises a curable component, and the initiator added to said fluid is chosen from a polymerization initiator, a cross-linking agent, and a catalyst.
. The kit according to claim 47 , wherein said initiator is at least one chosen from air, nitrogen, and oxygen.
. The kit according to claim 49 , wherein said solidifying fluid comprises a curable component adapted to solidify when exposed to a change in temperature.
. The kit according to claim 47 , wherein the composition is a sterile component comprising a monomer or polymer and a solvent.
. The kit according to claim 54 , wherein the composition the sterile component further comprises a propellant.
. The kit according to claim 54 , wherein said polymer is a thixotropic gel.
. The kit according to claim 56 , wherein said polymer is chosen among polyhydroxy acid polymers and copolymers such as poly-L-lactide, poly-DL-lactide, polyglycolide, and polydioxanone
. The kit according to claim 54 , wherein said polymer further comprises reinforcing particles.
. The kit according to claim 58 , wherein said reinforcing particles are chosen among biocompatible ceramic particles and fibres made up of calcium phosphates.
. The kit according to claim 54 , wherein said composition further comprises a polymerization initiator.
. The kit according to claim 47 , wherein the composition comprising two miscible components, wherein a first component is present in a hydraulic fluid suitable for use in an implanted hydraulic device, and a second component which is added to said fluid, wherein the two components when brought in contact with each other form a stable composition.
. The kit according to claim 61 , wherein said first composition is sterile.
. The kit according to claim 61 , wherein said second composition is sterile.
. The kit according to claim 61 , wherein said first and second component are biocompatible.
. The kit according to claim 61 , wherein said first component comprises polyurethane, and said second component is a gas.
. The kit according to claim 65 , wherein said gas is chosen from air, nitrogen, and oxygen.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
