Claims

Abstract

An image decoding method according to the present invention can comprise the steps of: deriving first reference samples located at the upper end and on the left side of a current block; deriving second reference samples located on the right side and at the lower end of the current block; and acquiring a prediction sample for the current block on the basis of the first reference samples and the second reference samples, wherein the second reference samples can be derived on the basis of the first reference samples and temporary prediction samples generated by performing temporary intra prediction on the current block on the basis of a temporary intra prediction mode.

         16 . A method of decoding an image with a decoding apparatus, comprising:
 determining an intra prediction mode of a current block in the image from intra prediction modes pre-defined in the decoding apparatus, the intra prediction modes including a Planar mode, a DC mode, and a bi-intra prediction mode;   determining reference samples for intra prediction of the current block based on the intra prediction mode; and   generating a prediction sample of a current sample in the current block based on the reference samples,   wherein the reference samples include a left reference sample adjacent to the current block and a right reference sample adjacent to the current block.   
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 16 , wherein generating the prediction sample of the current sample:
 obtaining a first prediction value using the left reference sample; and   obtaining a second prediction value using the right reference sample,   wherein the prediction sample of the current sample is generated by averaging the first prediction value and the second prediction value.   
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 17 , wherein a position of the left reference sample is determined based on a position of the current sample. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 18 , wherein the left reference sample has a same y-coordinate as the current sample. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 17 , wherein a position of the right reference sample is determined based on a size of the current block. 
     
     
         21 . The method of  claim 20 , wherein the right reference sample has a x-coordinate and a y-coordinate different from the current sample. 
     
     
         22 . A method of encoding an image with an encoding apparatus, comprising:
 obtaining a prediction block of a current block in the image;   obtaining a residual block of the current block based on an original block of the current block and the prediction block; and   encoding the residual block to generate a bitstream,   wherein an intra prediction mode of the current block is determined from intra prediction modes including a Planar mode, a DC mode, and a bi-intra prediction mode,   wherein a prediction sample of the prediction block is obtained by using reference samples corresponding to the intra prediction mode of the current block, and   wherein the reference samples include a left reference sample adjacent to the current block and a right reference sample adjacent to the current block.   
     
     
         23 . A non-transitory computer readable medium having stored thereon instructions that when executed by a processor perform a method, comprising:
 determining an intra prediction mode of a current block in the image from intra prediction modes pre-defined in the decoding apparatus, the intra prediction modes including a Planar mode, a DC mode, and a bi-intra prediction mode;   determining reference samples for intra prediction of the current block based on the intra prediction mode; and   generating a prediction sample of a current sample in the current block based on the reference samples,   wherein the reference samples include a left reference sample adjacent to the current block and a right reference sample adjacent to the current block.
