Abstract
Among other things, a dispensing device and/or a refill container are provided. The dispensing device may comprise a dispenser component configured to dispense a refill material. A sensor component may be configured to identify an optical property (e.g., whether an optical brightener is present in the refill material) of the refill material. The dispensing device may evaluate the optical property against an optical profile to determine whether the refill material is a valid refill material (e.g., comprises the optical brightener) or an invalid refill material (e.g., does not comprise the optical brightener). Operation of the dispensing device may be enabled based upon the refill material being the valid refill material. If the refill material comprises the invalid refill material, then operation of the dispensing device may be disabled and/or a flush option (e.g., evacuating the invalid refill material from the dispensing device) may be activated.

1 . A refill container, comprising:
a refill material container configured to house a refill material for use by a dispensing device; a nozzle coupled to the refill material container, wherein the nozzle is configured to be controlled by the dispensing device to selectively open to enable dispensing of the refill material from the refill material container; and the refill material comprising a hygiene material and an optical brightener.
2 . The refill container of claim 1 , wherein the optical brightener comprises chlorine.
3 . The refill container of claim 1 , wherein a material of the refill material container is selected to be substantially transparent to visible light.
4 . The refill container of claim 1 , wherein a material of the refill material container is selected to be substantially transparent to ultraviolet radiation.
5 . The refill container of claim 1 , wherein a material of the refill material container is selected to be substantially transparent to infrared radiation.
6 . The refill container of claim 1 , comprising a pump configured to transfer the refill material between the refill material container and the nozzle.
7 . The refill container of claim 1 , wherein the optical brightener is configured to alter an optical property of electromagnetic radiation passing through the optical brightener.
8 . The refill container of claim 1 , wherein the refill material container is a bag.
9 . The refill container of claim 1 , wherein a concentration of the optical brightener within the refill material is selected to be within a specified range of concentrations that enables the dispensing device to dispense the refill material.
10 . The refill container of claim 1 , wherein the hygiene material is soap.
11 . The refill container of claim 1 , wherein the hygiene material is an anti-bacterial gel.
12 . The refill container of claim 1 , wherein the hygiene material is a disinfectant.
13 . The refill container of claim 1 , wherein the hygiene material is a lotion.
14 . The refill container of claim 1 , wherein the refill material is a powder.
15 . A refill container, comprising:
a refill material container configured to house a refill material for use by a dispensing device; and the refill material comprises a hygiene material and an optical brightener, wherein a concentration of the optical brightener within the refill material is selected to be within a specified range of concentrations that enables the dispensing device to dispense the refill material.
16 . The refill container of claim 15 , wherein the optical brightener comprises chlorine.
17 . The refill container of claim 15 , wherein the optical brightener is configured to alter an optical property of electromagnetic radiation passing through the optical brightener.
18 . The refill container of claim 15 , wherein the refill material container is a bag.
19 . A refill container, comprising:
a refill material container configured to house a refill material for use by a dispensing device; and the refill material comprises a hygiene material and an optical brightener, wherein the optical brightener is configured to alter an optical property of electromagnetic radiation passing through the optical brightener.
