Inflatable Speed Regulator

Abstract

Methods, systems, and apparatus for a speed regulator are described. An inflatable air bag is configured to inflate to an extended configuration and configured to deflate to a retracted configuration. An air bag pump is coupled to the inflatable air bag and configured to inflate the inflatable air bag. An air bag base encases at least a portion of the inflatable air bag.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An inflatable speed regulator, the inflatable speed regulator comprising:
 an inflatable air bag configured to inflate to an extended configuration and configured to deflate to a retracted configuration;   an air bag pump coupled to the inflatable air bag and configured to inflate the inflatable air bag; and   one or more flexible bands attached to one or more surfaces of the inflatable air bag, the flexible bands configured to bend to conform to an inflated shape of a portion of the inflatable air bag in the extended configuration and configured to return to a flat shape in the retracted configuration.   
     
     
         2 . The inflatable speed regulator of  claim 1 , further comprising an air bag base encasing at least a portion of the inflatable air bag. 
     
     
         3 . The inflatable speed regulator of  claim 1 , wherein the air bag pump is further configured to deflate the inflatable air bag. 
     
     
         4 . An inflatable speed regulator, the inflatable speed regulator comprising:
 an inflatable air bag configured to inflate to an extended configuration and configured to deflate to a retracted configuration;   an air bag pump coupled to the inflatable air bag and configured to inflate the inflatable air bag;   an air bag base configured to encase at least a portion of the inflatable air bag; and   a casing comprising a plurality of flat shutters, the casing configured to conform to a shape of the inflatable air bag in the extended configuration and to lay flat in the retracted configuration.   
     
     
         5 . The inflatable speed regulator of  claim 1 , the air bag base comprising a slot, the slot configured to encase at least a portion of the casing in the extracted configuration.
