Hair Detangling System

Abstract

These related inventions comprise mechanisms to allow for reduced pain when detangling hair with a brush or comb. It comprises a hair constriction system that is able to isolate and effectively constrict small locks of hair. It also comprises a lock constriction system that functions to create a buffer region and a brushing region. These two systems are connected via a connection system for ease of use and single person management of the process.

We claim: 
     
         1 . An apparatus comprising:
 a lock constriction system and a hair constriction system;   said hair constriction system configured to constrict a lock of hair adjacent to the scalp, for the purpose of creating a lock of hair;   said lock constriction system configured to constrict said lock of hair, wherein said lock of hair was created by said hair constriction system;   said lock constriction system positioned distal to said hair constriction system for the purpose of, upon binding, creating two hair regions, a buffer region and a detangling region.   
     
     
         2 . An apparatus comprising:
 a connection system, a lock constriction system and a hair constriction system; said connection system configured to connect said lock constriction system and said hair constriction system; wherein said connection system is less than twelve inches in length and more than one inch in length; said hair constriction system configured to constrict a lock of hair adjacent to the scalp, for the purpose of creating a lock of hair; said lock constriction system configured to constrict said lock of hair, wherein said lock of hair was created by said hair constriction system; said lock constriction system positioned distal to said hair constriction system for the purpose of, upon binding, creating two hair regions, a buffer region and a detangling region; said lock constriction system comprising a lock selecting component and a lock constriction surface; said lock selecting component comprising a lock constricting component and a lock receiving component.   
     
     
         3 . An apparatus comprising:
 a connection system, a hair constriction system, and a lock constriction system, said connection system configured to connect said lock constriction system and said hair constriction system; wherein said connection system is less than twelve inches in length and more than one inch in length; said hair constriction system configured to constrict a lock of hair adjacent to the scalp, for the purpose of creating a lock of hair; said hair constriction system comprising a hair selecting component, a hair lock isolation system and a hair constriction surface; said hair selecting component comprising a hair constricting component and a hair receiving component; said hair constricting component configured to cause with a constricting force, a volume of hair for the purpose of creating a lock of hair for subsequent detangling; said hair receiving component configured to create a variable receiving volume for the purpose of creating variable lock volumes; wherein said hair receiving component is a hinge-based swivel systems; said hair lock isolation system comprising a lock height isolation component and a lock peripheral isolation component; said lock height isolation system configured to create an effective distance of isolation from the scalp for the purpose of manipulating said lock of hair; said lock peripheral isolation component configured to create an effective radius of material for the purpose of creating said lock of hair support on top of the scalp as desired for manipulating said lock of hair; said hair constriction surface configured to mediate the force of said hair constricting component for the purpose of providing friction force that interacts with the hair when constricted, via said hair constricting component; said lock constriction system configured to constrict said lock of hair, wherein said lock of hair was created by said hair constriction system; said lock constriction system positioned distal to said hair constriction system for the purpose of, upon binding, creating two hair regions, a buffer region and a detangling region; said lock constriction system comprising a lock selecting component, a grasping region and a lock constriction surface; said lock selecting component comprising a lock constricting component and a lock receiving component; wherein said lock constricting component is a spring-based system; said lock receiving component configured to create a variable receiving volume for the purpose of accommodating variable lock volumes; wherein said lock receiving component is a hinge-based swivel; said lock receiving component configured to dynamically interact with said lock constricting component for the purpose of rapid application to said lock of hair and removal from said lock of hair; said lock constriction surface configured to mediate the force of the lock constricting component; said lock constriction surface configured to to mediate the force of the lock constricting component; said lock constriction surface composed of metal.
