Abstract

Provided are method and apparatus for writing and reproducing a multimedia service using a tag in order to provide an intuitive interface for a user using a multimedia service. The method includes selecting a multimedia service to be written; generating tag information identifying the selected multimedia service; and writing the generated tag information to a tag. Accordingly, multimedia service information and content information can be stored in a tag by being written to tag information using a common format, and thus the user can later execute a service operation by easily writing information of a desired service operation to a tag and then simply connecting the tag to a tag reading device.

receiving, from a second device, tag information including information about content displayed on the second device; and displaying the content on the first device based on the received tag information at a time when the tag information is received by the first device from the second device, wherein the content displayed on the first device is the same content as the content displayed on the second device.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the information about the content includes a reproduction location of the content at the time of receiving the tag information by the first device from the second device, and
wherein the displaying comprises displaying, by the first device, the content as continuous playback from the reproduction location of the content, based on the tag information.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the information about the content comprises address information of a web site related to the content.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the information about the content comprises content data for displaying the content on the first device.

6 . A method of transmitting information about content in a second device, the method comprising:
displaying content on the second device; and transmitting, to a first device, tag information including information about the content, and the content is displayed on the second device at a time when the tag information is transmitted to the first device from the second device, wherein the content displayed on the first device is the same content as the content displayed on the second device.

7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the information about the content includes a reproduction location of the content at a time of the transmitting the tag information to the first device from the second device, and
wherein the content is reproduced by the first device as continuous playback from the reproduction location of the content, based on the tag information.

8 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the information about the content comprises address information of a web site related to the content.

9 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the information about the content comprises content data for displaying the content on the first device.

10 . A first device for displaying content, the first device comprising:
a display; and at least one processor for receiving, from a second device, tag information including information about content displayed on the second device, and controlling the display to display the content on the first device based on the received tag information at a time when the tag information is received by the first device from the second device, wherein the content displayed on the first device is the same content as the content displayed on the second device.

11 . The first device of claim 10 , wherein the information about the content comprises content data for displaying the content on the first device.

12 . A second device for transmitting information about content, the second device comprising:
a display for displaying content on the second device; and at least one processor for transmitting, to a first device, tag information including information about the content, and the content is displayed on the second device at a time when the tag information is transmitted to the first device from the second device, wherein the content displayed on the first device is the same content as the content displayed on the second device.

13 . The second device of claim 11 , wherein the information about the content comprises content data for displaying the content on the first device.
