Abstract
A reciprocating downhole pump for use in a subterranean well for lifting produced fluids to the surface. The reciprocating downhole pump is inverted in that the pump has a pump cylinder with an upper part and a lower part, wherein the upper part is configured for connection to a production tubing and the lower part is configured for receiving energy to drive the pump. A pump piston and a pump intake is arranged above the pump piston. The pump has one or more standing valves arranged above the pump piston. The pump is driven by a hydraulic piston rod.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A reciprocating downhole pump for use in a subterranean well for lifting produced fluids to the surface, the reciprocating downhole pump comprising a pump cylinder comprising an upper part and a lower part, wherein the upper part is configured for connection to a production tubing and the lower part is configured for receiving energy to drive the pump;
a pump piston; a pump intake arranged above the pump piston; and one or more standing valves arranged above the pump piston.
2 . The reciprocating downhole pump of claim 1 , wherein the pump intake is equipped with one or more radial standing valves.
3 . The reciprocating downhole pump of claim 1 , wherein the pump piston is supported by an energy storing unit.
4 . The reciprocating downhole pump of claim 1 , wherein the pump piston is equipped with a pump shaft.
5 . A reciprocating downhole pump for use in a subterranean well for lifting produced fluids to surface, the reciprocating downhole pump comprising:
a pump cylinder comprising an upper part and a lower part, wherein the upper part is configured for connection to a production tubing and the lower part is configured for receiving energy to drive the pump; an inlet/outlet for wellbore fluids; a pump piston equipped with one or more traveling valves; one or more standing valves arranged above the pump piston; wherein the pump piston is located above the inlet/outlet for wellbore fluids.
6 . The reciprocating downhole pump of claim 5 , wherein the pump piston is supported by an energy storing unit.
7 . The reciprocating downhole pump of claim 5 , wherein the pump piston is equipped with a pump shaft.
8 . A pump system for operation in a subterranean well with any deviation between 0 degrees and 90 degrees, wherein the system comprises:
a reciprocating downhole pump according to any of the preceding claims 1 - 7 ; and a hydraulic pipe providing a confined space for a hydraulic pump rod driving the reciprocating downhole pump, wherein the hydraulic pipe is connected to a lower part of the reciprocating downhole pump below the pump piston.
9 . The system according to claim 8 , wherein the hydraulic pump rod is configured to generate the reciprocating movement of the pump piston.
10 . The system according to claim 8 , wherein the pump piston is equipped with a pump shaft and wherein the lower end of the pump shaft is attached to a lower displacement body of the hydraulic pump rod.
11 . The system according to claim 8 , wherein the hydraulic pipe is equipped with an inlet/outlet for wellbore fluids.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
