Abstract

The non-magnetic retractable ID holder provides a way for employees and employers, especially medical personnel, to be able to conveniently retain access to their ID card for ease of access within facilities while also being assured that they can comply with MRI-safe and other such zones.

1 . A non-magnetic retractable ID holder comprising of:
 A plastic clasp that can be used to attach a ID badge;   a retractable cord that is mounted on a clockspring enclosed within a plastic housing;   and a ring at the inner edge of the housing that the cord is threaded through.   
     
     
         2 . The clockspring as listed in  claim 1  is made of a metal that is non-magnetizable. 
     
     
         3 . The ring as listed in  claim 1  is made of a metal that is non-magnetizable. 
     
     
         4 . The housing component as listed in  claim 1  is made of plastic and is capable of being attached to a piece of clothing or hung off of a band instead.
