Abstract
A system and method of extracting a tube from the water by pulling the tube up a pair of elongated rails extending aft of the stern of a vessel and positioning the tube between a tube containment arm disposed above each of the elongated rails so that the tube is pressure fit therein. The pair of elongated rails can be pivoted up and out of the water for transportation and storage. The elongated rails and the tube containment arms can be telescopic.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1 . A tube extraction and storage system comprising:
a first extraction rail which includes a first extraction rail first member and a first telescopic extraction rail second member and a first extraction rail length adjustment lock; a first restraint arm coupled to said first extraction rail in a manner which provides for restraint of an inflatable device therebetween; said first restraint arm is spaced apart from first extraction rail; a first mount configured for coupling said first extraction rail to a bar on a vessel; a second extraction rail which includes a second extraction rail first member and a second extraction rail second member and a second extraction rail length adjustment lock; a second restraint arm adjustably coupled to said second extraction rail so as to provide for restraint of an inflatable device therebetween; said second restraint arm is spaced apart from said second extraction rail; and a second mount configured for coupling said second extraction rail to a bar on a vessel.
2 . The tube extraction and storage system of claim 1 wherein said first restraint arm has an adjustable separation distance from said first extraction rail.
3 . The tube extraction and storage system of claim 1 wherein said first restraint arm is removable.
4 . The tube extraction and storage system of claim 1 wherein said first restraint arm is telescopic.
5 . The tube extraction and storage system of claim 1 wherein said first restraint arm is rotatable.
6 . The tube extraction and storage system of claim 4 wherein said first restraint arm is multi-tiered to allow for simultaneous stacked storage of multiple inflatable devices.
7 . The tube extraction and storage system of claim 1 wherein said first restraint arm is flexible.
8 . A method of extracting a recreational inflatable device from a body of water comprising the steps of:
providing, in a predetermined configuration, a first extraction rail with an end submersed below a top surface of a quantity of water; providing an arm disposed on said first extraction rail; mounting said first extraction rail to a boat; and pulling an inflatable device so as to be simultaneously disposed on said extraction rail and underneath a restraint arm disposed on said first extraction rail.
9 . The method of claim 8 further comprising the steps of:
providing a second extraction rail wherein each of said first extraction rail and said second extraction rail is a telescopic extraction rail.
10 . The method of claim 9 wherein said restraint arm is adjustably coupled to said first extraction rail.
11 . A tube extraction and storage system comprising:
a first extraction rail which includes a first extraction rail first member and a first extraction rail second member and a first extraction rail length adjustment lock; a first restraint arm coupled to said first extraction rail in a manner which provides for restraint of an inflatable device therebetween; said first restraint arm is spaced apart from said first extraction rail; and a first mount configured for coupling said first extraction rail to a bar on a vessel.
12 . The tube extraction and storage system of claim 11 wherein said first restraint arm has an adjustable separation distance from said first extraction rail.
13 . The tube extraction and storage system of claim 11 wherein said first restraint arm is removable.
14 . The tube extraction and storage system of claim 11 wherein said first restraint arm is telescopic.
15 . The tube extraction and storage system of claim 11 wherein said first restraint arm is rotatable.
16 . The tube extraction and storage system of claim 14 wherein said first restraint arm is multi-tiered to allow for simultaneous stacked storage of multiple inflatable devices.
17 . The tube extraction and storage system of claim 11 wherein said first restraint arm is flexible.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
