Rap7ball game

Abstract

The RaP7Ball game comprises the steps of using a field having an inverted equilateral triangle shaped inner field. The RaP7Ball game also includes the steps of choosing a first and second team with each team having fourteen players and using a bat and ball similar to that of a cricket bat and ball. The RaP7Ball game also includes the steps of playing three innings in the game and playing seven overs in each half inning. The method also comprises the steps of bowling seven balls in each over and counting runs scored by each team, wherein the team that scores the most runs at the end of the three innings may be declared the winner of the RaP7Ball game.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method of playing a RaP7 Ball game, said method comprising the steps of: using a field having an inverted equilateral triangle shaped inner field;
 Choosing a first and second team, each said first and second team having fourteen players;   Using a ball, bat and four pylons;   Playing three innings in the game;   Playing seven overs in each said inning;   Bowling seven balls in each said over.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1  wherein said field having a ninety degree pie shape. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1  wherein said inner field having four pylons. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 2  wherein said field having a radius of seventy seven meters and a side of said inverted equilateral triangle shaped inner field having a length of twenty one meters. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 3  wherein said field having a first crease and a second crease, said first crease having a first pylon, said second crease having a fourth pylon, said first pylon is arranged at a first corner of said inner field. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 5  wherein said field having a no bounce zone extending a predetermined distance from said fourth pylon, said ball is bowled without touching said field within said no bounce zone. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 1  wherein said first and second team each having seven offensive players and seven defensive players, said offense players have to announce a batting order for said seven offense players before a start of the game. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 1  further comprising the step of starting the game by a referee conducting a coin toss to determine which said team starts on offensive or defensive, said bowling step having a predetermined bowler of said defense bowling said ball to beat a predetermined batsman of said offensive team and hit a first pylon with said ball. 
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 8  wherein said predetermined batsman attempts to hit said ball with said bat into said field and has an option to run said pylons in a counter clockwise direction through a second and a third pylon and back to said first pylon to score one run or not run said pylons. 
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 9  wherein said runs scored equal a number of said predetermined batsman on said pylons when said ball is hit and touches a boundary wall of said field, said runs scored equal two times a number of said predetermined batsman on said pylons when said ball is hit and flies over said boundary wall. 
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 8  wherein said predetermined bowler is replaced by another bowler after said bowlers bowl one said over, said predetermined bowler is only allowed to bowl three said overs in total per said inning. 
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 9  wherein said predetermined batsman is declared out if said ball hits said first pylon, if a fly ball is caught, or if during taking runs said defense hits one of said pylons said predetermined batsman is running towards with said ball before said predetermined batsman reaches inside a safety crease arranged around said one of said pylons. 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 1  wherein said team with a higher total of said runs scored wins the game. 
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 1  wherein said first and second teams switch roles from offense to defense and vice versa after seven said overs. 
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 3  wherein said pylons are approximately 0.21 meters in diameter and approximately 0.77 meters tall. 
     
     
         16 . A field for use in playing a RaP7Ball game, said field comprising:
 a ninety degree pie shaped area;   an inverted equilateral triangle shaped inner field;   a first pylon arranged at or near a first corner of said inner field;   a second pylon arranged at or near a second corner of said inner field;   a third pylon arranged at or near a third corner of said inner field;   a fourth pylon arranged between said second pylon and said third pylon at or near a midpoint thereof; and   a no bounce zone extending a predetermined distance from said fourth pylon towards said first pylon.   
     
     
         17 . The field of  claim 16  further comprising a generally partially circular shaped area arranged at each side corner of said inner field. 
     
     
         18 . The field of  claim 16  further comprising a crease arranged near or at each said pylon, said crease having a generally circular shape for said second and third pylon, said crease having a generally rectangular shape for said first and fourth pylon. 
     
     
         19 . The field of  claim 16  wherein each of said pylons having a diameter of 0.21 meters and a height of 0.77 meters. 
     
     
         20 . The field of  claim 16  wherein said pie shaped area having a radius of 77 meters, a distance between said first and second pylon, said first and third pylon, said first and fourth pylon, said second and third pylon is 21 meters, said no bounce zone predetermined distance is 14 meters.
