Abstract

The present invention relates to non-aerosol shaving compositions which are free of propellants, and methods of preparing and using such shaving composition. In particular, the present invention relates to a non-aerosol, propellant-free composition including two or more carboxylic acids, or alkali metal salt thereof, at least one compound of general Formula (I), R—O—[—CH2CH2O—]n—CH2CO2H, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, and water.

1 . A propellant-free composition comprising:
 (i) two or more carboxylic acids, or alkali metal salt thereof;   (ii) at least one compound of general Formula (I):
   R—O—[—CH 2 CH 2 O—] n —CH 2 CO 2 H

 (iii) polyvinyl pyrrolidone; and 
 (iv) water.
