Abstract
Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for allowing for payment of transactions initiated with a client device to be completed using a mobile device and requiring multiple-step authentication of the user before completing the transactions.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method, comprising:
receiving, by a server computer, a login request from a client device associated with a user identifier; transmitting, by the server computer, a webpage to the client device; receiving, by the server computer, identification information that identifies a mobile device associated with the user identifier, the mobile device configured with a payment application; updating, by the server computer, the webpage to present an icon for utilizing the payment application of the mobile device; receiving, by the server computer, selection information that identifies selection of the icon; transmitting, by the server computer, instructions to send a notification to the mobile device; transmitting, by the server computer and at least responsive to a request from the mobile device, item information that identifies an item associated with the webpage; receiving, by the server computer, authentication information that identifies authentication associated with the mobile device; and updating, by the server computer, the webpage to present confirmation of the authentication associated with the mobile device.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the identification information is received from an identity server computer.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the instructions to send the notification are transmitted to the identity service configured to transmit the notification to the mobile device.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the instructions to send the notification are transmitted to a notification service configured to transmit the notification to the mobile device.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the notification comprises a transaction identifier corresponding to the item and an application identifier corresponding to the payment application.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the notification comprises an instruction to launch the payment application.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the authentication information is received from the mobile device.
8 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising updating the webpage to present confirmation of use of the payment application to order the item from the server computer.
9 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that, when executed by a server computer, cause the server computer to perform operations comprising:
receiving a login request from a client device associated with a user identifier; transmitting a webpage to the client device; receiving identification information that identifies a mobile device associated with the user identifier, the mobile device configured with a payment application; updating the webpage to present an icon for utilizing the payment application of the mobile device; receiving selection information that identifies selection of the icon; transmitting instructions to send a notification to the mobile device; transmitting, at least responsive to a request from the mobile device, item information that identifies an item associated with the webpage; receiving authentication information that identifies authentication associated with the mobile device; and updating the webpage to present confirmation of the authentication associated with the mobile device.
10 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein the instructions to send the notification are transmitted to an identity service configured to transmit the notification to the mobile device.
11 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein the instructions to send the notification are transmitted to a notification service configured to transmit the notification to the mobile device.
12 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein the notification comprises at least one of a transaction identifier corresponding to the item, an application identifier corresponding to the payment application, or an instruction to launch the payment application.
13 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein the authentication information is received from the mobile device.
14 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , further comprising updating the webpage to present confirmation of use of the payment application to order the item from the server computer.
15 . A system, comprising:
a memory configured to store computer-executable instructions; and a processor configured to access the memory and execute the computer-executable instructions to at least:
receive a login request from a client device associated with a user identifier;
transmit a webpage to the client device;
receive identification information that identifies a mobile device associated with the user identifier, the mobile device configured with a payment application;
update the webpage to present an icon for utilizing the payment application of the mobile device;
receive selection information that identifies selection of the icon;
transmit instructions to send a notification to the mobile device;
transmit, at least responsive to a request from the mobile device, item information that identifies an item associated with the webpage;
receive authentication information that identifies authentication associated with the mobile device; and
update the webpage to present confirmation of the authentication associated with the mobile device.
16 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the instructions to send the notification are transmitted to an identity service configured to transmit the notification to the mobile device.
17 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the instructions to send the notification are transmitted to a notification service configured to transmit the notification to the mobile device.
18 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the notification comprises at least one of a transaction identifier corresponding to the item, an application identifier corresponding to the payment application, or an instruction to launch the payment application.
19 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the authentication information is received from the mobile device.
20 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the processor is further configured to execute the computer-executable instructions to at least update the webpage to present confirmation of use of the payment application to order the item from the server computerJoin the waitlist — get patent alerts
