Abstract
A method includes detecting, with a sensor, a gaze of an occupant of a vehicle. The gaze is directed to at least one vehicle displays. The method also includes determining, with a controller circuit in communication with the sensor, whether one or more features presented on the at vehicle displays are partially obstructed from a view of the occupant. When the one or more features presented on vehicle displays are partially obstructed from the view of the occupant, the controller circuit adjusts a presentation of at least one partially obstructed features to be viewable by the occupant.

detecting, using a sensor of a vehicle communicatively coupled to a controller circuit of the vehicle, a gaze of an occupant of the vehicle directed to a feature presented on one or more vehicle displays; receiving, by an input device of the vehicle communicatively coupled to the controller circuit, a user input indicating that the occupant seeks to modify at least one aspect associated with the feature; and responsive to receiving the user input, modifying, by the controller circuit, the at least one aspect associated with the feature on the one or more vehicle displays.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:
the feature is presented at a first location on the one or more vehicle displays; and the at least one aspect comprises a location of the feature, the method further comprising:
detecting, using the sensor, another gaze of the occupant directed to a second location on the one or more vehicle displays; and
responsive to detecting the other gaze, modifying the location of the feature from the first location to the second location.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the first location and the second location are on a same vehicle display.
4 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the first location and the second location are on different vehicle displays.
5 . The method of claim 2 , the method further comprising:
storing, in a memory communicative coupled to the controller circuit, the second location of the feature.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the input device includes at least one of a voice recognition device, a gesture recognition device, a touchpad, or a touch screen.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one aspect associated with the feature includes at least one of a location, a dimension, a color, a contrast, a perceived depth, a font, or a brightness associated with the feature.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:
the feature includes at least one of a gage, an icon, an infotainment feature, or a camera image; and the one or more vehicle displays are located on at least one of an instrument panel, a console, a dashboard, a windshield, a window, or a mirror.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the sensor is an infrared or near-infrared camera.
10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein detecting the gaze of the occupant comprises:
capturing, by the infrared or near-infrared camera, a sequence of images including eyes of the occupant; and processing, by the controller circuit, the sequence of images to determine whether the eyes of the occupant remain directed at a same feature on the one or more vehicle displays for a pause interval.
11 . A system comprising:
a sensor configured to detect a gaze of an occupant of a vehicle directed to a feature presented on one or more vehicle displays; an input device configured to receive a user input indicating that the occupant seeks to modify at least one aspect associated with the feature; and a controller circuit communicatively coupled to the sensor, the input device, and the one or more vehicle displays, the controller circuit, responsive to a reception of the user input, configured to modify the at least one aspect associated with the feature on the one or more vehicle displays.
12 . The system of claim 1 , wherein:
the feature is presented at a first location on the one or more vehicle displays; and the at least one aspect comprises a location of the feature, the controller circuit further configured to:
detect, using the sensor, another gaze of the occupant directed to a second location on the one or more vehicle displays; and
responsive to a detection of the other gaze, modify the location of the feature from the first location to the second location.
13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the first location and the second location are on a same vehicle display.
14 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the first location and the second location are on different vehicle displays.
15 . The system of claim 12 , the controller circuit further configured to:
store, in a memory communicative coupled to the controller circuit, the second location of the feature.
16 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the input device includes at least one of a voice recognition device, a gesture recognition device, a touchpad, or a touch screen.
17 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the at least one aspect associated with the feature includes at least one of a location, a dimension, a color, a contrast, a perceived depth, a font, or a brightness associated with the feature.
18 . The system of claim 1 , wherein:
the feature includes at least one of a gage, an icon, an infotainment feature, or a camera image; and the one or more vehicle displays are located on at least one of an instrument panel, a console, a dashboard, a windshield, a window, or a mirror.
19 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the sensor is an infrared or near-infrared camera.
20 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the controller circuit, in detecting the gaze of the occupant, is configured to:
