Abstract

An illusive backless garment includes a front portion that covers breasts of a wearer, and a back portion connected to distal edges of the front portion and that surrounds at least a portion of a rear side of a torso of the wearer. The back portion includes a mesh that is nude color or substantially transparent. Such garment is an illusively backless bra or bralette.

We claim: 
     
         1 . An illusively backless garment, comprising:
 a front portion that covers breasts of a wearer; and   a back portion connected to distal edges of the front portion and that surrounds at least a portion of a rear side of a torso of the wearer, wherein the back portion comprises a mesh that is nude color or substantially transparent.   
     
     
         2 . The illusively backless garment of  claim 1 , wherein the garment is a bra or a bralette. 
     
     
         3 . The illusively backless garment of  claim 1 , wherein the front portion comprises a first cup and a second cup, wherein the first and second cups are joined together via a center front gore, and the back portion is connected with each of the first cup and the second cup. 
     
     
         4 . The illusively backless garment of  claim 3 , further comprising, at least one shoulder strap extending from an upper edge of at least one of the first or second cups and connected between the at least one of the first or second cups and the back portion. 
     
     
         5 . The illusively backless garment of  claim 4 , wherein the at least one shoulder strap comprises the mesh that is nude color or substantially transparent. 
     
     
         6 . The illusively backless garment of  claim 4 , wherein the at least one shoulder strap is a thin strap or a spaghetti strap. 
     
     
         7 . The illusively backless garment of  claim 3 , further comprising, a halter strap connected to each of the first cup and the second cup and around a back of the neck. 
     
     
         8 . The illusively backless garment of  claim 3 , further comprising, a first shoulder strap extending from an upper edge of the first cup and connected between the first cup and the back portion, and a second shoulder strap extending from an upper edge of the second cup and connected between the second cup and the back portion, wherein the first shoulder strap and the second shoulder strap cross each other in the back portion. 
     
     
         9 . The illusively backless garment of  claim 8 , wherein the back portion has a racer back style. 
     
     
         10 . The illusively backless garment of  claim 8 , wherein the back portion has a rounded back neckline. 
     
     
         11 . The illusively backless garment of  claim 3 , wherein each of the first cup and the second cup includes a wire. 
     
     
         12 . The illusively backless garment of  claim 3 , each of the first cup and the second cup includes a push-up pad.
